Blazing Lazers Debug Mode
« on: January 30, 2007, 01:05:34 PM »
I'm having trouble accessing the debug mode in this game. According to this link, you have to "Enable the "Sound test" code. Press I, II then tap Select repeatedly until the debug screen appears. The following debug functions may now be enabled." I can access the Sound Mode easily, but I'm getting no sign of the debug mode.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

Nevermind I figured it out. For those having the same problem, a debug message or menu doesn't actually appear. After pressing I and II in the sound test screen, press Select a bunch of times and then go to a specific number for whatever debug option you want to do.

No actually I wanted to hack the debug mode so I could cut out the empty space of level 2.

I have the Japanese version too, but haven't tried it yet. I imagine it would.

actually, the code may not work on the Japanese version - I know that the american codes for Super Star Soldier do not work on the Japanese game.
