Wouldn't it be interesting for all the Turbo system owner of New Jersey to meet.  There wouldn't be any need for much room.  But it will be more like a family since we all love the Turbo systems.
I think NJ has a lot of TG-16 fans :).

The "owner" of Digital Press is based in New Jersey and he opened up a brick-n-mortar store not too long ago. Of course, I haven't gone there yet (I forget it exists until moments like this). I used to be more active at digitpress forums, years ago, but I haven't been there for ages.

EDIT: Holy crap! It's in Clifton, NJ, which is my home turf! I'll have to go there: Digital Press: The Store

Back in the day, free copies of the Digital Press fanzine were available from at least one of the local comic / D&D / anime shop (Timewarp, which is still in business I think!).

I haven't been to time warp for 15(?) years...

You can add yourselves to this map. ;) It's really simple, just insert a name and the location. Some notes could be fun too.

I really hope all the TurboGrafx-16 owners in Africa add themselves to the map.

 Well,
I am working in Canada for a year, but seeing as I am South African and going home with my Turbografx in three months, I will add my name to the map.

Haha, that's awesome! Are there any other TG16 fans in South Africa? :D

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

I know of one other, but there aren't many.  The market for videogames is rather limited in SA because for some reason import permits for videogames are difficult to obtain.  Apparently the Xbox 360 will be coming out (or perhaps it already has during my absence), but the first XBox for example never did because Microsoft did not obtain permission.  The only stuff you could get when I left home in July 2006 were Playstation 2 and that portable Playstation thingey ( I think Sony must have bribed the SA Revenue Service).

As a child, the only system I had was an Atari 7800.  To my knowledge, the Pc-engine or Turbo were never sold in South Africa.  The first time I saw one was on my first trip to Japan in the nineties.  Needless to say, I've been hooked ever since!

Whoa man, that's such a surreal story.

A kid with an Atari 7800 - I've only knew of one kid that ever had that thing.  (and I actually ended up with it, but I have no idea where it's at now...)

I had one.  I probably still have it somewhere.

Necro you're in NE?!  I think that's even less likely than two from South Africa!  I'm guessing you're in lincoln or omaha?

The Turbo was Dual Core when Dual Core wasn't cool . . .

Yup - holding' down the fort in Omaha.

My cousin had a 7800.  I wonder if he still has it; it would make a nice boat anchor.   It wasn't a complete waste - Commando, Fatal Run (easy but strangely addictive), Rampage, and Double Dragon were pretty entertaining.

Yes! Another black PCE/Turbo player!

As being one myself, I don't see them very often, I thought I was the last one left.

I know of another black Turbo fan, he lives in San Something, California and a good friend of mine is a huge Turbo fan, but he's half black. Oh wait, I just remembered there is another black Turbo friend that lives in Canada that I talk to every now and then on AIM! I should get him to post on here.
