Does anyone have a PC-Engine Converter for the Turbo Duo for sale?  Thanks!

Ooh, that's going to be an expensive venture my friend (triple digit or near triple-digit prices).  You *might* want to look into modding your system instead - or just get a Japanese system.

Get a Core grafx instead - $30 vs 130.

If he wants it for a Turbo Duo he probably wants to play Arcade Card games.

Yep, that kind of right.  I don't want to have countless Turbo systems cluttering next to my t.v.

I have two actually  the big green diving board, and then the wonderful Kisado adapter.

And I just recently purchased a Duo-R from GP through the Turbo List(God am I glad I am a member of that!)

So I don't know if its truly worth me keeping my two adapters.

Was thinking of donating/raffling off the green diving board at the MGC this june...lol

Midwest Gaming Classic. We're going to be holding TurboFest there this June, the first known Turbo Grafx 16 convention in America.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

I don't know why anyone would buy a Hu Card converter at this point. Just as I cannot understand....*cannot* understand...why people pay $150 for the US version of a game like Zonk when the Japanese version can be had for a third of that, or less. Obviously with text-heavy games its a different thing, but I can think of very very few text heavy US released TG-16 games in the first place.

Back in the day my friends and I would sell off our US stuff if we managed to get a good deal on a Japanese release just to get the better cover art.

None of this makes any sense...

In the early 90s it was $15 for a HuCard converter, and $450 for a Japanese Duo. Now the converter costs more than a Duo R...and people are actually buying it! WTF?

I guess people just like to waste money hand over fist (see: downloadable ring tones)

... far more efficient not to mention space & clutter concious than buying a whole second deck complete with controllers, wires, and general "cluttery" things. Sure, it's a bigger out-of-pocket expense right off the bat for a converter than it would be for a Japanese CoreGrafx but I'll pay the few extra bucks once to save a little space and headache.

A Core is not much bigger than a Kisado. In fact, the Kisado is longer. Plus, a Core doesn't stick a mile out of your system just waiting for someone to snap it in half. Seriously, converters are so ghetto. Its like buying a bra for the front end of your Chevy Cavalier. Lame ass.

I'm fully aware that not everyone wants to just hoard craploads of systems, but really you only need one system; any Duo, if it is modded. The mod usually costs less than a converter, and would certainly be less "clutter". Plus, it would work better than most converters (ie: no Arcade Card problems)...and you can close the HuCard door. Awesome!
