Awesome.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

The Flaming Lips wrote a song about this called "The Spiderbite Song", their drummer got bit by one and it nearly killed him it seems...

Luckily, this kind of damage is not common and is rarely fatal (but can take months to heal).  Fatalities usually stem from infections and lack of medical care.

I f*cking hate spiders. They are my all-time worst fear. I can't explain it. I remember once when I was like 16 or something I was playing video games (TurboGrafx too, if I remember right) at my dad's old house without a shirt on (it was the middle of summer, no AC). I took a bathroom break and I felt a tickle on my back. Since I was in the bathroom, I half-turned in the mirror so I could see my back and there was this huge furry black spider on my back like 1.5-2" in diameter slowly crawling up me. It was a f*cking mini tarantula. I have had arachniphobia my whole life so this wasn't like the catalyst or anything. But I freaked the f*ck out. You would have thought I got hit with 12,000 volts of electricity at that moment. That was the single scariest moment of my entire life.

EDIT: It's images like these that just reinforce my fear.

ouch,we have wolf spiders here and they get in the house and I'm always picking them up in my hand and throwing them back outside. Then one night i was watching animal planet and learned that wolf spiders have the same necrotic venom as brown recluse and other poisonous spiders but rarely bite humans. Now i cant grab them like i use too cause I'm afraid of a bite and just scoop them up in a jar.

We have f*cking TARANTULAS.... it's fun to take them in a shovel and throw them on the side of the house to paralyze them, and watch them die.

Dude, tarantulas don't hurt anybody -- you can relocate them without the carnage. Yeah, I pull over when I see a spider on my windshield and relocate it to a bush before resuming my drive. I'm a softie, I suppose, but spiders do lots of good stuff (i.e. eating other bugs... like ants!).
