Ok, thanks.
I recently played the genesis version devil crash wich used a password.
Maybe i thought the same could be done with alien crush.
But not then. ](*,)

Its ok, In my opinion this is a game thats meant to be played from the beginning each time anyhow.

I just picked this up. Ive owned (and loved) Devil Crash for a while now. Alien crush feels a lot more primitive comapred to Devil, but after playing it for a while its just about as much fun.

I love the song "lunar eclipse" on that game. It always gets stuck in my head after playing it.

It feels good posting here on the forums again.
I have a sense people who really love turbo/PC engine gaming are passionate about their pasttime and helpfull.
It's like the fun these games offer are reflected on this board.

PS: anyone knows if alien crush or devil crash is a game that can be finished???
Or just improving on your previous score?

I've never done it, but I believe you can max out the score counter. That's it, as far as I know.

And, welcome back! :)

I imagine such a feat would require multiple hours of continuous play. And since video pinball games are only good for short (30 min. max) duration diversions, completing one is probably not gonna happen. Unless you are a freak, specifically set out to do so, and have that kind of time to waste.

Both games have an ending when you max out the score.  Alien Crush simply says something like "Congratulations!" while Devil's Crush has an enigmatic ending with the girl who was trapped coming back to life and then some inconclusive text...

I've been trying to beat Devil's Crush lately using the save feature. I would like to beat Alien Crush some day too, but because it has no save feature, I'm not sure if I am willing to sit down for so long to try beating it. So far Devil's Crush is taking FOREVER to beat! Alien's Crush shouldn't take as long though since it's really easy to have your score multipled by hitting it into the alien's mouth, as opposed to hitting it into the skeleton's mouth in DC. I think I could beat Alien's Crush if I devoted all my time into it because it seems very hard to loose a ball in that game.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

I've not played Devil Crash that much yet; but how do you save your game? Is it really obvious and I'm being a bit stupid?

Hey, it's been a long time since I said something along the lines of....

If you want a high score in DC, check out the Devil's Crush Strategy Guide (Page 1), Page 2.

And Tip 1, Tip 2, Tip 3, Tip 4 (Grand-daddy!), and, wow!

No you are just fine, it's not obvious at all. To save your game, pause during game, press select, and then the II button (maybe I button, I forget). A save game screen will pop up and you select which slot you want to save in. Note that this won't work in boss rooms though, only on the main board.
