Oh I think Cotton is better, if you're counting CDs that is.

I like Cotton also, but I think Magical Chase is way more fun and less frustrating.  Also the graphics are more colorful and the enemies/bosses are more creative and insane.

is there a hidden music option in the usa version??

Cause I know there is one on the japanese version and there's a track that I don't think is used anywhere in game..

and apart from the rarity and IMO a great game plus that its made by Quest and it's their first game ever!!!!

rumours are Quest are formed from ex Square employees (those geezers who make those FF rpg's) before later going on to make SRPGs like battle ogre etc..

and I'm pretty sure I seen ripple and that pumpkin guy make appearances in some of those 'ogre' games..

What's Quest?

Anyway, Success made Cotton. Maybe they're the same company, I have no idea.

I always thought Success were like Compile and Camelot. ie. they were part owned by sega but ran independantly..

Quest makers of Magical chase and ogre battle games

Quest - rumour is that this japanese company formed from ex square employees

I think you have that backwards Digi.K.  Quest was founded in '88; a few employees left Quest for Square in '95 and made Final Fantasy Tactics (a rip off of Tactics Ogre); and Square finally bought out what was left of Quest in '02.

Here's an odd one for you Cotton fans - a goofy mix of Cotton and After Burner for PCs.

ah ok ^^

The rumour that I have, I got it looong ago before there was any playstation and I'm pretty sure I read it in some american gaming mag (may have been in the gossip collumn in EGM) and before I had any internet but thats as far as my memory goes....... >.>

Quest Corporation (クエスト, Quest Corporation?) was a Japanese video game company founded in 1988.

Quest is best known for its critically acclaimed tactical role-playing game series Ogre Battle. In 1995, key members Yasumi Matsuno, Hiroshi Minagawa, and Akihiko Yoshida left Quest to join Square,[1] where they developed Final Fantasy Tactics and Vagrant Story, and have worked on Final Fantasy XII as part of Square Enix. In 2002, Quest was purchased by Square;[1] although the purchase reunited some of Quest's developers with their former colleagues, it may have signaled the end of the Ogre Battle franchise

Don't worry, the new site is coming!

Of course, all the old-timers have heard this a few times over the past year and a half! Or is it two years? Ha!

Do you have the Turbo version? The sound test trick only works on the PCE version.
