This was Hudson Soft's way of numbering their releases. Games from other gamehouses didn't use them AFAIK.

IE, the first Hudson HuCard was Vol 1, the second vol 2....

Vol 1 was Kung Fu (China Warrior)
Vol 2 was Bikkuriman World (Wonderboy in Monsterland)
etc

No. 61 is Bomberman '94.  The bottom right game in the pic is Necromancer.  :)

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

very cool! so they only released 61 hu card games? thats really not alot. so i guess it was one a month for 61 months? so if the first month was october 1987 (or november??) then 61 would be at the end of 1992, but it cant be if its bomberman 94.  confusing ne?

maybe it was just every time the released a new hucard and skipped a few months.

61 - 2 = 59

btw. aoi blink was also a Hudson work, but never was merged into the vol. line-up.

those are only the hucard releases from hudson, but since 1988 when the cd-rom was released, a lot of games where also released on that media.

in fact yes. i was looking for those two missing numbers and the reason for not being exist for years, until i got an answer on a japanese PC Engine BBS, where someone told me, that the numbers usualy were give away to a project before it even was finished to publish. so when a title was canceled also the vol. number died with it. but never could figure out, which titles those were. may be someone in here knows an answer on that.

so it must be like atari's CX2600  number designations in a way.  so can it be speculated that vol 62 may have been  in production?

so if  bomberman 94 as the last hudson  hucard, was it the last hucard made period?
