just out of curiosity, what's the battery life like on the LT? Better, the same, or worse than the gt/express?
I don't think LTs run on batteries, they just have an AC adapter. From what I know, they did release some rare battery charger for it though. There was also some guy who made a homemade battery pack for it that took like 8 AA batteries!

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

yes. of course there isn't any space left for use any batteries on that beast. here was my former solution with a 2x12V/5.4Ah acid-lead accu bank and step-down regulator, which even could supply a LT-CDrom combo for hours :)

How did you make that thing? Looks very nice for something home made.

As Sedane said, it's possible to make the converter work.  You have to life one pin from one of the chips off the circuit and connect it to a ground point.  Relatively simple if you ever soldered before.  Instructions here.

After doing the above mod, you can:
1. Use a region converter (the same one you'd use on the TG16 to play PCE games)
2. Install a switch to connect between two regions - instructions here.
3. Or permanently switch the region so that your LT will only play US games.

Thanks,

When i have an LT i will propably do the first mod with the hucard converter combo.
Not to shabby for the 2nd mod as it ain't a cheap system!

Anyone have a converter for sale??

Someone i  know has a few connection that might sell me an LT, otherwise it would be an ebay i guess.

PS: I meant Bonk, not Bong guys.
But i'm sure you know what i meant. :)

It is unboxed but should be in good condition, i think i bought for the right price unboxed. :-k
With box i would pay at least 100eur more i guess.
Also bought R-Type and Spriggan from the same seller.

Looks pretty good even without the box.  Boxes are mostly important to 'collectors' anyway, and they're more interested in saying that they have (insert name here) than they are actually playing it.  I wonder - was that 6 button Genny controller in the picture hacked to work on the LT?

I bought a boxed, mint, sexy, complete, LT for $350 9 years ago only to have it stolen.

I had the LT/Neck adapter/Super CD-Rom/AC Pro set up.  God that was gorgeous.  Now I can't stand up for a couple minutes...

Ok, might turn out allright, got his message...

Hello, I'm sorry to inform the PC Engine will have a delay because 4 orders were send 1 week later, it was our fault and we apologize for all the inconveniences this may cause to you. The LT was sent and will arrive to you for sure. It was sent with tracking number. That delay will not happen again. Thanks. Mundocombo.

The topic seem to be live up to it's name... "worries"... get it?

Finally got it today and did some playtesting. :)
Good and sharp image, sound and button feel is good to.
Allthough you can immediately see some burn in from images that don't move within 5 seconds.
Especially life bars in certain games that are there as long as you play the game can still be seen in backgrounds for a very long time.
Most noticeable in darker areas of a game (like the opening of R-Type for example) and when you don't look straight to the screen.
But it doesn't disturb me in a way i don't enjoy playing games on an LT or regret buying it.
As long these burn ins are temporally and nothing permanent it's a fine machine!

So it sounds like the LT screen is exactly the same as a TurboExpress screen, just a bit larger.
