Ha ha ha, you're right. I forgot just how dirty the other one was. :P That's DEFINITELY not the same one.

All right, it's a different tap.  Side by side comparisons show the the battle scars don't line up, so this couldn't be a freshly shaved and showered 85% new.  This tap does look like he could be 87% new (a.k.a. 85% new's fraternal twin).

I'd hate to see the birth canal that pushed those two out!

My first time reading either of them.  Competition?  I think not.  This thread is clearly 85% better than the linked one.
All is well. :)

Holy shit.... Hard to believe it's already been three years since the 85% new episode. My, my how the 2000's have flown past.

I just read it all again. I laughed, I cried, I re-lived the dream.

The truly criminal part of the whole thing is that all pictorial evidence of 85% new is now nothing but a distant memory, for those of us who were there. Without the images, you only get about 85% of the experience.

Another blast from the past! Every time that Cephalgy guy shows up, you know good times are just around the corner.

Here's another great one.

The ancient stone tap never showed and I got a refund.  A truly dissappointing set of events.  My Lord is the thread funny...

I am glad to be back and for two reasons. 1) My 9 year old is really into the retro games.  Bonk, Super Mario, Bomberman 94, and Sonic. If he isn't playing transformers on the xbox, he wants to play TG-16 VC or the old Nintendo.  2) The Wii has been a real let down the past year with it's TG-16 /PCE VC.  So to fill the void I could get a Japanese Wii for $300 or, randomly visit this site for the first time in two years and pick up a minty fresh Duo-RX for $170 that was posted that very same day.   I'm not into Fate or Karma, but what are the chances??

In 2007 I thought the Wii VC would eventually have a lions share of the TG gems.  Wrong was I and back am I.  I especially regret parting with my PCE wireless controller set.  But I'm glad to be back!!

Glad you're back.

I always wanted to try the PCE wireless pads... even if they weren't "perfect", it just seemed really neat...

As for picking up the RX after being M.I.A. for two years... well, that was nice.

It would be even better if someone actualy posted the correct amounts asked for the stuff on the first page.

Now I can't see how ridiculous it was :(

I just read this as well and it was epic.  Did you guys ever find another piece of hardware that was remotely as bad that it could act as a substitute for original Eighty-Five?
