Yeah, what the f*ck?

This guy led you to believe they had shipped the thing weeks ago, and blamed the fact that you didn't have it yet on "mail delay"?

After a MONTH of bullshit, he finally comes clean with the fact they never had it to begin with?

Looks like its only 85% real.

85% bullshit is more like it.

Agreed, the lying bastards!  Though they're probably really confused as to why you aren't interested in the five player tap.  Just take the refund, leave neutral (or negative) feedback mentioning 85% in some way, and move on without the prize.  :(

I did contact the seller and specifically told him I wanted a crudded up tap, just incase they thought I'd leave negative feedback not getting an 85% new tap.

Any creature with a developed occular system can tell that puppies no where near new, which is why I want it.

If not, I've asked for a refund which will make me happy.

Cr*p, this was an anti-climatic resolution. I wanted to contribute a few $$$'s towards the Encrusted Tap because I had faith in its existence. Now I don't know what to believe in. I'm floored. There has never been, nor will there ever be, another artifact like this one. What's the point in continu

Demand a refund and report this jackass to ebay. He's broken one of the most fundamental rules of auctioning...actually having a product to auction.

Oh man, that really sucks. I was looking forward to seeing this classic piece of video game history in photos around the world. Guess the dream is over.

Perhaps we could "generate" a similiar-looking tap? Rolling it in mud, tying it to a string after the car, giving it to the neighbourhood bulldog... Anything's possible, but it will be extremely hard to take away exactly 15% of its condition, so I guess we're pretty much screwed. 85% screwed, to be precise.

The $17 is back in my account along with a message "I do Refund.  No Excuse."

I'll just keep listening to the song "Happy Together" and think of all the fun I could have had...

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

No excuse? What's that supposed to mean? "I'm not sorry"? As in: it's your own fault you decided to buy this nonexistant crap? :P

Or: "I have no excuse that this item decided to stop existing"? "It's my fault".

Well, I got my $17.99 back and used it to buy Power Golf 2 and World Class baseball shipped for $7.  The other $11 bucks I spend on Cocaine and Hookers to help me get through this anguish.
