I am a/b negative? or something like that. I have to look it up (there's a card in my wallet).

The funny thing is, back in the day when I donated blood, they used to look up your name in a book of "banned donors"... do they still do that?

they don't look in a book anymore; it's all online, and processed behind your back; they let you give the blood even if they're going to throw it away. You could be a banned donor today and never know it. (they also have a neat little barcode 'opt-out' system; they give you two bar code stickers without numbers, and the nurse goes away. if you know you shouldn't be donating, you put the 'do not use' sticker on your paper, and no one ever knows but you.

I remember seeing my name and saying "Oh, I should be in that section!" and the woman responded "You don't want to be in that section." and I was like "Ohhhhhhh."

True.

yay fun.

I'm diabetic, so I'd be in it.

Now I feel stupid. I forgot about all that. Blood isn't always pure and healthy.
