Wow, I didn't figure anyone else on a PCE board would know Orange Juice. "You Can't Hide Your Love Forever" is a great album.
Absolutely
. For some reason, I really like "Upwards and Onwards" even though there are better tracks on that album. I don't know what it is... the song has been stuck in my brain for some reason.
We listened to "Rip it Up" on the way to Boston
. My daughter (3+ years old) actually likes that album and allowed us to listen to it. I was grateful. I don't think I could have listened to another round of Sesame Street songs (although I don't think I'll ever get sick of Grover singing "Monster in the Mirror"
).
Don't get too excited. No one's picked up on my Captain Beefheart references and no one batted an eye at my mention of the Chrissy Hynde/ Adam Seymour cover of 'Nebraska.'
Although, I'd be impressed if anyone knew the names, in chronological order, of the drummers the Cure has had without the aid of the internet.
Blazing Lazers rocks, and my wife thinks so too.
I only have Trout Mask Replica and some compilation "best of" album
. I never really had the desire to check out anything else, though, to be honest.
I don't think I could name more than two folks who have been in The Cure, let alone the drummers... wait, I can only name one person and he's the singer! No joke
.
