Complete list of HuCard/Turbochip games
« on: May 31, 2007, 09:48:16 AM »
Hi,

I have finally updated my website at www.vgden.com
I have started a new series of articles where I try to list all the games available for a system with as much information as possible. The first part lists all HuCards/Turbochips and all the special/pirates I know of (more to come soon). I added an extra feature where you can move the mouse over a game to see its cover.
I'd love to see if you could test the above, I could only run it on a few browsers, so I want to make sure it works everywhere.
I've also added Hucard and CDRom reviews to the database.

Do not hesitate to let me know what you think :)

Fully functional here on Firefox, but the pop ups are somewhat annoying.  May I suggest that they only appear when the cursor is over the title, rather than anywhere on the title's data?  Otherwise, the update looks good and I look forward to perusing the new articles.

Using Firefox 2.0.0.3 on a Mac under OS 10.2.8 I get no pop ups at all. I'm not sure where things are supposed to be popping up, but this browser is certainly a pop-free zone.

Beyond that, I am able to navigate the site just fine, and I notice little difference from the last time I visited.

Make no mistake-- this is a great site, always liked it. Good job!

(Although I'm interested in hearing more about this alleged popping.)

when i went there, when you would scroll over a game title, it would show the box art. I think this feature kicks ass  :D I'm using firefox 2.0.0.4 with Windows XP.

Apparently the pop-up feature is something that only works under Windows. Perhaps Joe or another Mac using member could confirm this.

Thanks for all your great comments ! :)

So, I could only test the list on Windows and Linux, and everything was ok. I'll try to test in out on a Mac and see what the problem is.

I have also added 41 reviews, from which 11 are PC Engine games. I'd advice to look at Bikkuriman World where I have digged out the origins of the characters featured in the game by Hudson Soft, and differences between the original arcade and the PC Engine version. Also, I've reviewed SeiryĆ» Densetsu Monbit and translated some of the menus and added a mini-walkthrough for the beginning of the game. Finally, you can also find Cyber Knight and its sequel for the Super Famicom Cyber Knight2. Same for Genocide 2, sequel of Genocide.

This is a really good point. I also wondered about that myself and had the page working this way for a long time. Then I changed it... I'll wait to have more feedback about this but I think I'll definitively change it, especially now that all this stuff is online, there's a slight delay between the time you move the mouse over a game and the time when the picture is loaded and displayed, which is indeed annoying.
