If I remember right, Old English was 7.6% Alcohol, while 211 was at 8.1%  Giving you the superior value for your lunch money.

But Olde E was gangsta beeyotch!  (Though I reckon anything with low-cost/high buzz content would cater to them just as well.  :-k)

I haven't drank cheapy stuff in quite a while....

Though, a story about Steel Reserve!

It is THE ONLY alcohol I've seen someone "fall out" while drinking. Though, it probably wasn't only that booze causing what happened.

Long story short, many years ago (Steel Reserve has been around at least 10 years) this person who was visiting some folsk I knew, he took part in a night of getting smashed. Then, from what I gathered, had very little sleep, to wake up early and start filling their bodies with alcohol and such. I stoppe dby early in the mornnig to see what folks were up to.

Outside, this person was obviously smashed. I remeber commenting about how Steel Reserve looked green in colour.. hahaha, sometime later he puked up a bit, and I pointed out the green hue of the puke to the others, hahaha. I recall exclaiming, "LOOK! It's green!".

Well, the guy keeps drinking, Puke ain't gonna stop this marathon of inebriation, it's only morning! He is leaning on a waist-high chain link fence, when all of a sudden, his eyes kinda roll back into his head, his legs give out, and he fall down. Fell out, and passed out. Wild stuff, I have never seen someone just go, "plop" like that. He came to very fast, after he was stirred. He stopped drinking and such after that.

Now now, there is no evidence of a connection between "Fall-Out" and our official beverage Steel Reserve 211.

Oh, but there probably is a conenction between the sudden fall-down and his BAC, lack of sleep, etc.

I had nearly forgot about that incident. If it hadn't been for this thread, that memory may not have surfaced for quite a while longer.

The Mrs. Loves Faygo Red Pop.  It's a Michigan thing...
That's so awesome that you label flavors by color name too! When I have suckers or something, I don't call them "cherry", "grape", or "apple", instead I say "red", "purple", and "green".  8) Anyway, Faygo is ok but I've never really found it to taste any better than most pops. Do you pronounce it as "Fay-go" or "Fag-o"?

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

My favorite pop (yes I said pop because it's not called soda) brand is SUPER CHILL! All of their products tastes completely amazing, is dirt cheap, and comes in three liters! Super Chill pineapple flavor is the best, it's just so mind blowingly refreshing!

Don't listen to this man, he is a liar

Super Chill was one of the worst pop brands I have ever tasted and this includes TAB

Don't listen to Xiphas! He doesn't drink caffeine!!! Super Chill is seriously the greatest pop company in the world, and they even have good water and potato chips!

Barqs is great, but I prefer Dogs & Suds because it comes in a glass bottle and has a cooler logo, not to mention tastes a little better.

Yeah those old fashioned style rootbeers are the best.

Sounds just like it's spelled.  Although calling my buddies "Faygs" for drinking Red Pop is pretty funny.

Corn syrup is expensive now? I always imagined that stuff would be cheap. It's practically used in everything!

Well, more expensive than it used to be.  The demand for ethanol has driven up the cost of corn, so anything made from corn has become more expensive.

I'm unfamiliar with this Super Chill soda, but have enjoyed Faygo before.  Have you ever tried anything from Shasta?  I believe that Faygo and Shasta are both owned by the same parent company and have pretty similar products / flavors.

We are well into the NASCAR season and I'm sure the demand for Sourmash Whiskey is at it's highest.  That's why your corn stuffs are high.

Like I said, I am pretty sure Super Chill is only limited within the Chicago area :) .  I've had Shasta before, but I can't remember it's taste as well as I remember the label. I want to say that Shasta is owned by Coca Cola, but I think I am confusing that with Fresca.

Besides PC Engine games, beer is another great passion of mine.  I can enjoy just about any type of beer under the right circumstances... I'll drink a $10 bottle of quad IPA or an Old Milwaukee, it's all good to me.  I'll drink a 40 of malt liquor even, the only one I can't handle though is Steel Reserve, man that stuff has the WORST aftertaste, bar none.  As I get older I find that I gravitate more towards lagers and some ales, the heavier stuff just doesn't go down as easy as it used to.  A few beers I really like:

Grolsch
Peroni
Old Speckled Hen
Boddington's
Newcastle
Red Stripe
Hoegaarten
Kilkinney (haven't had this one in years, I can't find it in the US)
Stella Artois

On the cheap, I like Stroh's and Budweiser.  And I don't drink light beers.

I don't know, I looked it up once and the company that makes it is from Minnesota.  So the cheeseheads, Iowans, and Dakotans probably have Super Chill too.  I don't remember seeing it in South Dakota when I lived there though.
