Personally, I don't own any modded hardware. I, too, prefer to preserve my hardware. But I also bought a Kisado long ago before they cost the big bucks so there is no need to start drilling holes in my systems. I have a few TurboGrafx-16s, a SuperGrafx, a GT, and a Kisado. With this setup I can play every Turbo game ever made. Yay me! I can't stress enough for anyone looking to go the converter route to get a Kisado. You might pay over $100 for one these days but it's worth it. The thing has worked beyond the call of duty for years. Unlike other converters, you can manhandle a Kisado all you want, even while a game is loaded and the system powered up without the game glitching out on you. Plus you get the added bonus of being able to use an Arcade Card without issues.
All that said, I might go ahead and mod my GT, if grahf feels like doing it for me with his new ultra-compact solution. Reason being is that I own a lot of US carts, and I have been buying Japanese duplicates of my US games so that I can play them on the go. YEAh, Japanese carts are cheap, but...
