I haven't played the PCE version, but the NES one is one of the best NES games ever.
Joe, the NES version is fantastic. It is a must-have if you like Double Dragon.
I am not a huge fan of the PCE version (because it could have been SOOOOO much more -- they didn't try to really push things), but I do indeed like it
. Then again, I'm a big fan of Double Dragon, so take this with a grain of salt.
Joe, as you may recall from my tard-unfriendly thread, the PCE DD soundtrack really adds to the PCE experience. I think each track suits each stage...
The cut-scenes are not as gorgeous as they should have been, but they are a nice addition as well and add another facet to the DD universe.
Of course, if you are like me, you will be sorely disappointed that Mr. Abobo is not the center of the storyline. I'm not kidding. Mr. Abobo, and his cloned brothers, were the only characters who I was the least bit interested in.
All I did was Abobo the Chicken!
