Put down the National Enquirer and read a real newspaper.  There are many people in the news media that are critical of the current administration, critical of our actions in Iraq, and concerned about global warming.  The problem is that some people are more interested in being entertained than being informed (which is nothing new), so the entertainment media is catering to them.  Like Kitsune said - it's all about ratings, yet honest reporting is still available to anyone interested.

Media outlets are businesses, businesses try to earn profits, and media outlet's profits are tied to their number of viewers (readers).  If people weren't interested in what the media was showing (printing), then their profits would fall.  I have no problems finding articles about recent deaths in Iraq and see updates of Bush's shit ratings weekly, so what exactly is the media hiding?  It surely isn't the problems at Walter Reed, overpaid government contractors in Iraq (chiefly Halliburton), Tom DeLays questionable ethics, or the cluster f*cks known as Abu Ghraib and Guantanamo Bay.

Sometimes, man sometimes I just don't know where this country is going to. It's only going to get worse if people are gonna keep being stupid. If people would take in consideration of actually overthrowing the goddamn government and liberate the constitution from the clutches of evil, then once and for all give the power to the people, things would be much better than we all know. As for all this stinkup over the news media, what else is there for them to do? They'll report based on what's hot on American's minds and they'll keep capitalizing on that as long as it brings them ratings.  The war in Iraq is a hot topic so the news will continue to report on that.  Scooter Libby's pardon is a hot topic so the news will continue to report on that.  It's simple journalism.

Besides, anyone still pissed off about George W. Bush would see by now that he's beyond lame duck status.  A failed immigration reform bill, the pardon of Scooter Libby, and a presidential approval rating at its lowest in decades shows that he's now officially a dead duck.  One more year till elections.

Also, maybe we won't have to wait another year. Bush has the intelligence of a monkey, watch him f*ck up even more enough to where people will just want to impeach him. He's already reached the point where he is worse than Johnson and Nixon combined and he might very well come down as the worse president in American history; He has been very resistant on the subject of leaving office for the better of the country which is something Nixon, unlike Bush, understood quite clearly. Anyway, he pardoned Scooter Libby which is undoubtly one of the biggest mistakes he's made on his job, he made a lot of people very angry because of it, watch him screw up some more enough to where even his own party (the republicans) will impeach him just so they will be able to get another republican in office sometime sooner than the next 2 decades without being a party of shame.

If any impeaching does go on, I don't think people will just remove Bush and leave the rest, the entire administration is just as guilty of treason as he is. That means Dick Cheney, Karl Rove, Condolezza Rice, John Roberts, Donald Rumsfeld, Colin Powell and the rest would have to leave from office if he does because they all are just as guilty for his shit.
