I'm not even going to bother with it.  Based on testimony from GUTS and the fact that the Even Stevens dope is in it, I'm guessing 10.

Good attitude.  8) This movie sucked hard. Starscream only had like 2 scenes as well, and they f*cked up the entire origin story, and added lame poop jokes and even an awkward masturbation joke.

No shit, seriously? Most of my friends went to see the movie last night.  I wonder what they thought of it?

Not even Peter Cullen as Optimus could save the movie, huh? :|

That's a shame.  I could tell by the way the transformers looked and were animated in the trailer that it was going to be f*cking wrong though.  Oh well, at least you can get transformers stuff at target because of this.
The Turbo was Dual Core when Dual Core wasn't cool . . .

SPOILER ALERT!!!!

I heard that Megatron & OP are supposed to be brothers. Combined with the 'realistic' re-imagining, does this mean that Transformers in this universe have sex?

If so, where are the women? Or can all the guys get pregnant themselves?

Before you fall into this "popular poster says it's good, so it MUST be good!" trap, I'd advise to see it for yourself. I may have set the bar too high, but damn, I was REALLY crushed by this movie.

It had really, really good action scenes.  The main problem was that there wasn't anywhere near enough time given to fleshing out the Transformer's personalities- the movie had like 100 human characters that it dwelled on instead and characters like Jazz had all of 3 lines (hell even Megatron only had about 10 lines total).  Plus there was too much goofy humor that just didn't really fit.  Overall I didn't think it was too bad and when you get to the fights it's actually pretty entertaining, but it was just super frustrating how much screen time was given to all the lame ass human characters.

Live Free or Die Hard f*cking RULED though, all you guys need to go see that.  Best action movie I've seen in ages.

Completely agree. Transformers movie I guess would be ok if the original cartoon never happened, but as it is this movie is highly disrespectful to any of us from the 80ies. This movie is a reboot in all ways. The masterbate joke was so improper on a movie like this,as was the dog pissing and Optimus Prime saying"My bad". Everyone was rendered well, but looked nothing like the original. This movie is more or less for a new generation of fans. Nothing here for the old fans who put Transformers on the map to begin with in the USA.

As a reboot the movie is fine I guess, but you cant expect it to be any kinda homage to the original. It simply is not.
Live Free or Die Hard, thats a bad ass movie in every way except for the so called hacker who gets a screen error, like a grafx card error, and blames his friend for "messin with his drive". That and the fact that hackers never leave home, they have no friends or social life, the "warlock" proved that in the movie with his "command center",so it would be impossible to place a bomb in the computer and wire it to the delete key without them knowing. If you ignore those 2 points the movie is totally bad ass. Esp the Dial a Thug/henchman jokes.

Ok, as I'm the die hard Transformers fan on these boards, I will say it was ok.  I saw it twice, & will be seeing it once more, cuz a friend I don't get to see often wants to see it saturday.

Anyways, everyone, should always keep in mind, this, just like anyother Transformer series, is NOT G1!  The only bot, that you could really say, is like his G1 counterpart, is Prime.  And you know, the "my bad" line in it, I thought was going to roll my eyes, but, the way he says it, & plus since they (SPOILERS)

studied human language, it's understandable why they might have different personalities, like, Jazz for instance, is an African American in G1 & the same goes here, except, this actually makes a little sense.  So, they say things, that humans say.....though, I hated Jazz's first 2 sentences.  Mainly the first sentence.

Pretty much, I look at this movie as Humans.......featuring some giant transforming robots called Transformers.  Maybe like an introductory movie to this current TF's universe.  And I will say it again, this is NOT G1.

As for Prime & Megs being bros.  From what I understand, in this universe, they are.  And TF's themselves are younger in this universe, then they are in G1 from what I can gather.  There was too many humans(as that is the main complaint of the more recent TF cartoons), but, I'm not 100% sure it could be pulled off otherwise, atleast, for the first movie anyways.  Hopefully the next one, will get more into the various personalities of the bots themselves, & I know Starscream will have a bigger role in the next one.....which, will include the real Soundwave(as some think, that Frenzy in this movie, was replacing Soundwave).

As for fembots, yes, there are fembots, well, atleast one we know of so far, that originally was going to be in the movie.  And that would be Arcee.  She was however, in the prequal comic, & has her own toy coming out, based on the movie design for her.  As for them having sex, that would be a no.  But, even in G1, why they are all the way they are, is never truly understood, it's all a mystery, other the fact that they were built originally by the Quintessons.......that is, before they ever had the ability to transform.  They were just workers(Autobots) & warriors(Decepticons) that the Quints would sell to various warring nations for a profit, but they eventually evovled to have emotions.  And obviously, somehow there became a distinction between male & female.

The stupidest things in the movie for me, were Bobby Bolivia & his "mammy".  Bumblebee peeing on John, & the masturbation thing.  And the mom just plain sucked.  But, overall, I enjoyed the movie, if only to see TF's looking like they might in real life.  Though, personally, I would've liked less detail, as it's hard to see what all was going on.......not to mention I like the more standard style of TF's that have pretty much stayed the same over the last 20 some years, which includes Beast Wars, as they still have a standar type of transformation style like G1.  The ones that deviated a bit were Beast Machines, which was that last decent series(emphasis on decent) to come out.  Though, I would like to see RiD again, as I remember enjoying it alot more then Armada, which I hated.
