Speaking of Mad Gear, what the hell happened to his ebay store? I was searching Super Famicom games and didn't see him on the stores list
I've been informed he's been selling his stock of games at conventions that's why.

So nothing in his ebay store for now 'he just finsh the otakon too a while ago.

Now he's getting ready to sell at the, CGE soon and the toomanygames convention as well.

Blacktiger,

2manycollectibles the same as toomany games?

Tron,

I'm still undecided, though there is a chance I may attend.

How'd he do that?

He bought up pretty much anything selling for less than his ridiculously jacked up prices so Turbo fans would have to buy from him if they tried shopping on eBay. But he either never sent anything at all to buyers or sent dirty garbage that wasn't the item pictured in the auction. Plus his ads were very misleading and he sold items that sounded like one thing but were actually something like an empty box. He sold 'strategy guides' that were a few pieces of photocopied paper and he even sold discounts for his eBay store.

The Turbo market on eBay is still messed up from a few other losers doing similar things.

I tried to buy from Bullseye one time like three years ago (stupid me). He never sent the item, so naturally I filed a claim against him. I have ONE negative feedback on eBay because of that jackass. He put down the reason he was leaving me negative feedback was because "PAYPAL LABEL MAKER SAYS NOT VALID USA ADDRESS". What the f*ck does that mean? Does Paypal's "label maker" have an online 100%-accurate atlas of the entire universe or something? Besides, my address has been "Verified" through Paypal for years. Even if it was true, wouldn't the prudent move at that point be to contact me and figure something out?

As far as I know, eBay finally wised up and kicked him off. I highly doubt 2manygames is the same user because they have far too few negative feedbacks. Although it's curious that their pricing practices are very similar.

Speaking of people trying overprice stuff on the Turbo market, for the last decade or so I've always regarded the Turbo List as a sanctuary of "real" Turbo players and a good source to make trades and buy games at reasonable market prices (not "eBay market" prices). Most recently someone posted up a for sale list and told people to make offers. I made offers on a bunch of stuff that totalled (in my eyes) about $45. They didn't reply, so I sent a second e-mail asking what they were expecting for the items. They wanted $95 for this stuff (one game, two controllers, and a video of a TurboGrafx commerical)! They also had a complete US Duo, complete in box with everything it originally came with. Out of curiosity, I inquired about this too. I thought maybe $350 tops would be a reasonable non-eBay selling price from one Turbo player to another. He countered back saying he wouldn't go any lower than $600! What a f*cking douche. I'm trying to buy a 15-year-old console here, not a new car. I told him where to shove his items and that he might as well go straight to eBay if he was expecting to get that kind of money for his stuff. He'd fit right in with the guys that put a $999.99 BIN on a TurboDuo. I can't see any actual self-respecting NEC console gamer pay that kind of money.

I guess the point is that it's because of lowlifes like Bullseye that jacked up the Turbo market, it's now becoming the "norm" to expect dollars like that in places outside of eBay. I was just really sad to see it on the Turbo List.

TooManyGames is run by Chuck Whitby.  It was formally known as the East Coast Gaming Expo.

The most recent event he held was in April which I attended and there was tons of TG16 and CD stuff for sale:  nothing extremely rare, but lots of stuff for sale from at least 4 different vendors and there was hardware and systems (including duo and cd attachments) for sale.

The first show was held on September 11th, 2004, and he gave out free tables to all vendors.  For many vendors (including myself) it was the first event I ever attended as a vendor.  I've never missed a show since and I'm even skipping a wedding to make sure I can attend this year.

Overall the event is pretty laid back (some vendors even drinking beer at their booth) with decent attendance in the mid three figures.
