About the only natural disaster we really have to worry about are your friendly neighborhood earthquakes. Of course, I'd rather contend with an earthquake any day opposed to hurricanes, tornados, floods, or having to worry about being struck by lightning.
We actually had a earthquake here in Crete once about five years ago! Also that same year we had a meteorite hit down in a town near us and you could get money if you found pieces of it.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

Am I the only one who thought of Creepshow when I read that?

I had a post here but it went away.  Did the forum resort to a backup or something?

Anyway I said that it doesn't snow saltwater here in Colorado and rust is pretty rare, though you do see it once in awhile.

Hah, I didn't think about that. Good one.

Hmmm... the moon men must be making changes for their eventual takeover.  I bet Keranu is one of them.

Damn it, everyone seems to think I can make adjustments to the forum! I can't!

I don't know what happened but I had a few messages I posted earlier that disappeared.

Sonofadirtybeeotch!  I had a response to your comment and it disappeared too.  Sounds like the aliens abducted and probed the forum and left Keranu alone.

Anyway - Don't they salt the icy roads in Colorado?  They like to season the piss out of the streets here in Nebraska (making for lots of delicious rust).   Although, I suppose that's better than wrapping your ride around a telegraph pole.

Some places still use salt, but people find it less delicious these days than it used to be, so they are using some form of chemical deicer.   Who knows what that's doing to our vehicles.

My mailbox has some rust spots on it, but it's probably as old as the house which was built well before I was born.  The neighbor always manages to get rust on his trucks after a few years... not sure how he's doing it as other vehicles on the block do not rust even though they are older.

My house was built (at least the main part of it) in the late 1800's.

My car was built in the 1700s.  Top that, moon man.

Same here. Our neighbor's house, though, was built in mid- to late- 1700's. We all have low ceilings :(.

In K town they salt the streets so much that I don't go through a car wash afterwards, I just park my car in a pasture so the cattle can use it for a salt lick.
