If only I wouldn't have wasted my money on Magic Engine, then I too could've had fancy fake wood paneling.  High horse, anyone?

I'm sad that Joe's copy of Gaiares doesn't feature the guy with the mullet and pre-pubescent mustache.

Nothing could be worse than the Virtual Boy.

The N64 was a bigger let-down because Nintendo had all the momentum from the success of the SNES, and went in a completely different direction.  It seemed the only thing they cared about with the N64 was FPS's and 'Me too' 3D platformers, and a majority of the time sucked terribly!   Where were all the great action games/ Fighters / RPG's/ shmups/ Side scrollers/ METROID games that made the SNES so excellent?

And as for the Virtual Boy it basically had NOTHING to live up to as it wasn't a sequel to any of Nintendo's systems or a next gen system, it was an idea that was going in a completely different direction.  It never caught on, but I can still have fun playing my Panic Bomber on it!!

And besides with the new Wii Virtual Boy 2 on its way, its time to except this system as a cool idea that was far too ahead of its time!

I think that if the technology had been up to par at the time to allow color, the Virtual Boy would have been a MASSIVE success.

Word.  It's too bad that Nintendo didn't try again a year or two later, when quality green and blue LEDs were readily available at reasonable cost.  With full color and some slight tweaks to make it a bit more user friendly, it would've sold like hot cakes.

What?!?  No frickin' way!  They're old news, as I'm already playing around with a Virtual Boy 3 prototype using a wireless connection to sub-retinal implants.

Okay, I admit it. Gamecube rules.I love gamecube - when I got my gamecube I played in ot all the time! And I still do! In fact, I am playing on a gamecube now - I am playing a hacked version of Animal Crossing that lets you surf the Pcenginefx forums!

Here's a picture of all my favorite gamecube games:

I don't think so.  It was still very cumbersome to play, had crap games and gave many people a headache.

I liked the virtual boy, but it did have its faults. I did get headaches sometimes. Sometimes parts of the screen wouldn't focus and would be blurry.

I got motion sickness from it, and it was a pain the ass to play.  You'd think that somewhere along the line they would have noticed people getting headaches and motion sickness and thought twice about releasing it.

When I finally spent good time with Virtual Boy at the MGCs, I really enjoyed the games. I don't think full color would've helped the gimmick of it though.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

People have actually seen a Virtual Boy in real life, and even used it? That is shocking!
