Here's my tried and true cure for insomnia:

Step 1 - Wash down a fistful of quaaludes with a fifth of Jack.
Step 2 - Pass out (possibly forever).

Problem solved!

That would actually work, but I don't drink and I don't do drugs, so go figure.

And where you been man, quaaludes are like a 70's drug...

dude, I have insomnia too. The only way I can get back on a reasonable schedule is to pull alnighters and then go to bed at the desirable time. I just keep pulling them until I'm on the right schedule. I always seem to get off schedule after partying on the weekends though, haha. Damn alcohol

HAhahahahahha, quaaludes.

I'd pay $1000 for you to show me someone who still does quaaludes.

Vicodin and Percocet are where it's at today, man.

Warm milk, turkey, those can make you sleepy(well, the consumption of, you can't just hand around a turkey or a glass of warm milk, & expect to fall asleep).  Tylenol PM, Klonapin(as your Dr. & get a prescription, that's what puts me to sleep every night, I used to have insomnia :P)

My wife's younger brother has a friend in college who gets prescription pot. He has some kind of "green card" or something.

And booze has been around for some 4000 years.  What's your point?

Quaaludes are as prevalent in South Africa as meth is in the midwest.  I'm too lazy to find photos of addicts, so you can keep your lousy 1G.

Reading always works for me. Even if the book is really interesting the act of reading puts me to sleep. Let me tell you the 5 years of post-secondary education was not easy because of this. Every time I tried to study or read I'd want to go to sleep.  ](*,)

It's no secret that South Africa is severely behind the times.

There's this stuff called "Sleepy Time" you can get anywhere.  It's not like regular sleeping pills, you don't wake up ultra drowsy and feeling like shit when you take them- you wake up feeling like you had a good night's sleep- and they're not addictive or have any bad side effects.  I highly recommend them to anyone suffering from insomnia.

Yeah, if it's the same stuff I'm thinking of it's not a narcotic or anything so there's no risk of addiction. Also the pill is divided into two parts. One half dissolves quickly to get you to sleep and the other half dissolves slowly to keep you asleep so you don't wake up 3 hours later.

No risk of addiction = no fun.
