Dessert for those with more money than brains.
« on: November 08, 2007, 02:03:54 AM »
Lifestyles of the Rich and Stupid

Big f'n deal.  The only reason that it's the 'world's most expensive dessert' is because it's filled with gold leaf and comes with take home bling.  Anyone care to try my world's most expensive candy bar?  It's a Snickers wrapped in a check for $100,000 - all for the low, low price of only $100,001.

Sometimes I wonder if the commies were right.

Then I remember that no communist country has ever produced a console or computer worth a damn, and I go back to my capitalist pig ways. ;)

I saw this on the news the other day. It reminds me of the world's most expensive brownie which also had gold shavings but the real kicker was that the waiter would spray this crap in your mouth after you swallowed some. I'd rather just buy a crapload of Little Debbie brownies.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

yeah. I wouldn't put a quarter in any one of those things. they don't qualify under 'console' or 'worth a damn'.

I have to admit, though, the few commie gamers had to be hardcore.

I don't know - a billiards game where the balls come to life when hit sounds interesting.  It's a cool idea anyway, but the execution might be a different story.

Isn't it deadly to eat gold? :o

No, some gold is edible (I don't know how they do it, but it must be at a low carat or something) and it's also in that drink, Goldshlager or something.

Virtually anything consumed in excess is deadly, even water. If you eat sea salt though, you're eating a very small portion of gold, amongst dozens of other elements.
