Yeah if you read my post, I'm also stuck. I really need to boot up my game and describe the situation so others can help us out.

Yeah, post about the situation and I'll try to help you out.  Is it the infamous part where you can go to three different towns and an action scene with a corridor that fills with water?  Everyone seems to get stuck there their first time through.  I took some notes on that part when I replayed the game a few days ago, so I can probably be of some assistance.
Ok I just checked and it is this part! Please let me know how to get pass it!

Okay, so the map is roughly set up like this:

Town A - Town B - Action Scene
|
Town C

I know this is obvious, but make sure you've talked to everyone in each town, multiple times at that.  Some of them say different stuff the second and even third time you talk to them (even though you'll notice a lot of them are saying the same things).

And if anyone here can't get to the water part of the action scene, you can do it by destroying the brittle-looking piece of floor at the dead-end.  I believe I used a weapon I purchased at the second weapon shop in Town C (the one farther away from the entrance, I think you have to walk on a thin path around the water to get there).  I think the weapon was the "S Pod" or something, and it cost 200 or somewhere thereabouts.

In the water part of the action scene, proceed until you reach a barrier you can't destroy.  You might want to actually hit it and try to break it, as that might be part of the trigger.

Then go to Town B.  In the back of a building (I think it was the factory) in the northwest part of town, there's a guy who looks like a doctor who should give you a new item.  Make sure you have room in your inventory for it.

Then go to Town A.  There's another doctor guy; I believe he's in a house.  If you bring him the item from the doc in Town B, he should give you the bomb you need to destroy the barrier in the water part.

Note that if you go to Town C at this point, and you walk through the bar and out the backdoor, there should be a new guy standing there selling stuff.  IIRC, the most expensive item on his list is the Maximum Shield.  You can only hold one of these, IIRC, so you won't be able to buy it if you already have one, even if you have enough cash.

Sorry if some of this was kind of vague, but you know me, I've played through a bunch of games since Blood Gear so it isn't quite as fresh in my mind.  But the locations noted where you acquire the necessary items should all be spot on.

Ok thanks a lot, I will try that out later! I thought maybe that was the case where I had to go back and talk to people after visiting the barrier in the water area, but it looks like there is more communicating involved than I thought.

Update: Past the water filling tunnel, it leads outside to the map and you then have to go to some hallway with this big piece of machinery at one part that crushes you. I'm being lazy and haven't put much effort into it, but I can't figure out what to do with him. I'm assuming I need to buy that Maximum Shield thing because I don't see how I could destroy or outrun that thing.

You can destroy it, but if you do it my way, you'll take some damage, so be sure to bring some healing items along.

Go to Town C in the makeshift map I made.  I believe the weapon you need is in the second weapon shop, the one farther from the entrance.  (IIRC, it costs 500 and it's called "Mega Bazooka," if you can read the item names.)

When you have that weapon, head back to where that machine is.  Inch forward until you can just barely see it.  It won't charge at you until you actually fire at it.  (And you might want to take care of those ceiling cannons before dealing with the big machine.)  Then fire away.  You should be able to destroy it before it kills you, although you'll probably take a big hit, so heal up right afterwards.  If it kills you, you probably need to strengthen your mecha a little more.

By the way, this is a great spot for picking up points.  IIRC, that machine often drops an item ("GN Unit," I think it was called) that can be sold for a pretty hefty sum (1000, I believe).  So you can exit the hallway and then enter it again to destroy the thing multiple times and pick up a bunch of the units.  Sell them off back at town and then return to get more.

As for the Maximum Shield, I didn't use it until the very last boss.

OK thanks a lot. I did try taking it out before by slowly inching up on him and using one of my gun weapons, but he charged after me as soon as it hit and I was under the impression that you automatically died when he touched you. I'm pretty sure I know what weapon the mega bazooka is and I'll give that a try tonight. Thanks again!

Magician Lord -- still haven't beaten it.

Super Pitfall (NES) -- "", but I think I've gotten pretty damn close.

Athena (NES) -- Jesus, I just choke at all the worst moments.

Deep Blue -- Granted, I haven't played this game much, but I don't think it matters: I have already convinced myself that I won't be able to beat it.

Chris' Adventure (SCD) -- Dear God, this is a tough game and I just gave up. This is one of the games I actually have a desire to go back and beat, probably because I am a masochist.
