Not everyone likes death metal, which is just fine...I think country music sucks, but some people like it a lot. I like pretty much any variety of metal myself, with a preference for late 90s black metal (Dimmu Borgir, Emperor, Dissection, etc) and Viking/folk-style metal (such as early Mithotyn).

That link is actually pretty damn funny. Though like it says on the page, most of those pics are of black metal bands, not death metal bands.

Metal is good, death metal isn't my favorite though. And certainly most any good metal is underground, anymore.

I like some rock, a lot of techno, some rap, some jazz, a LOT of VGM.


The stuff that FM linked to is alright, but stuff like Cannibal Corpse is just not any good at all (too hard to be catchy).

Kitsu: Dunno if you know it or not, but the original frontman for Cannibal Corpse, Chris Barnes, left the band and formed his own band called Six Feet Under. This was way back in the late 90s when I was a DJ. Their music is rather catchy. I'm not sure if they're still around or not because I haven't really kept up with the metal scene after I left the radio station but they did some pretty impressive work back then. The last I knew, Cannibal Corpse was fronted by this guy who they called "Corpsegrinder" if I remember correctly.

"Country" music that is out today is not Country music. It's crappy pop music with pedal steel guitars and singers putting on fake country accents. Again, it's not country music.
