K, as your buddy, here's some advice, you need to learn how to not rhyme on 4 measure's, if you know what I mean. Basically, you gotta learn how to rhyme, at different lengths of time(sometimes, you don't even haev to rhyme at all). From there, you make up your own style as you go. That's especially if you end up rhyming on the ending credits song for Dragon Arm
edit-An example, you might sometimes rhyme words, that are only 1 measure away from eachother, while other times, they'll be 8 measures or more. But what you have looks like a constant 4, not sure if I'm explaining it right though. Here's something you can try, to test yourself. Take a book or something, where, it's not meant to rhyme, nothing that has any poetry. Then, try to make it rhyme. Make the speed of how fast you are flowing vary, & find new ways to say words. Example, the book of Psalms, originally, in Hebrew, it rhymed, but, in other languages, it doesn't because of translation. However, you can as a lyricist, find a way for it to rhyme.
