Sega CD - Sega Classics CD vs Cartridges
« on: December 13, 2007, 05:06:32 PM »
Since everyone on the forum is a HUGE fan of the Sega CD, I figured I'd post this video contrasting and comparing what Sega changed when they put 4 cartridge games on a single CD and included it with the Sega CD system.  Technology is clearly amazing... 4 carts on a single disc?  WOW!

For some reason the Youtube version doesn't move as smoothly as the original (ie: it stutters).

Only for one game, and it's not arranged.  Other than that Columns has redbook title music.

So you mean if I get a SEGA CD my life will be enhanced just like those games?

The Columns title tune is BADASS, I need to find the MP3 now.

Also, what do you use to edit video, Vegas or Final Cut?

Final Cut Pro.  I don't like anything else, though the old EditDV was decent for it's time.

Wow... golden axe reduced to a single player on CD? The Sega CD actually makes the Genesis weaker!

i'll have to remember to disconnect the SegaCD when trying to play Genesis games

Very cool comparison, I never even noticed whenever I play my Sega CD classics game! That's quite an improvement.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

Cool. I really like your comparison videos, but not nearly as much as your sarcasm.  :)
