I'm not normally one to like Judge Judy, but that is worth watching after the 3 minute mark!

I have a concept for a court show called 'bailiff, club this man'. Would be kind of like this, except the (wo)man behind the bench would tell the bailiff (a retired pro wrestler) to club either party (with a soft foam tongfa, but still) when they misbehave, or just when they desperately deserve it.

I would like that woman to be the first defendant.

Judge Judy is not scripted in as much as these are REAL cases with real plaintiffs and such.

I'm not sure if anyone is feeding them lines to say, but if so, they could've made it a lot more entertaining.

I doubt there is much, if any, scripting at all, to be honest.

The cases are real.  I've read interviews of local people who've been on the show and they were pissed that they lost and had to pay up.  Plus, they can't script that shit with the writer's strike even if it was fake.

I was pretty impressed with Judge Judy and I'm not one to like her.

However Judge Mathis would've blasted this case the better than anyone else since he's the best judge of all time and one of my biggest heroes.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

I know someone who was on Judge Judy and the only thing not necessarily real is JJ herself. :)

Yeah, they have to "put on a show" if they want ratings.

I doubt it's scripted, people are really that f*cking stupid.  I'm sure they cherry pick only the funniest/most ridiculous cases for the TV show, there's probably tons of boring ones that we never see.

Judge Judy's a worthless scag that is more interested in being entertaining than in serving the law.  I have a few questions for the stupid old cow: what is the relevance of the defendant's weight, how is her tax filing status germane to the complaint, and in what way does this case relate to the defendant's parenting skills?  If this were a real court, this joke of a judge left the door wide open for an appeal.

If you ask me, both the defendant and the plaintiff are fools.  The defendant is a tool for running misleading auctions and preying on the ignorant; the plaintiff is an idiot for bidding on auctions with conflicting descriptions that clearly said 'photo only'.  The best part of this video is the delicious daughter, and it's too bad that the camera didn't stay on her instead of showing that wrinkled old hag.
