Ok! I got a Core Grafx II comming finally.
« on: December 23, 2007, 09:34:57 PM »
Ok, I know it probably isn't the best deal out there, but I have a Core Grafx II on the way now which looks to be in very clean/good condition compared to many I have seen for sale:

It also comes with a box which looks to be in pretty good condition (no bashes in it).

I also talked the guy into sending some games with it to make the sale:

Total cost: $100.00 including surface shipping from Japan.  Maybe I paid a little too much, but at least I'm happy about it

Now I just need to find a travel case for the CGII, does anyone know of a camera or other electronics case which works well to take the CGII, the cable, controller, power supply and a few hucard games?

(for some reason the top pic stopped working, it's fixed now)

I might be a gamer and into some pretty nerdy things, but I'm a woman not a dude.  I blame my father, he turned me into a computer hardware tech and my sister into a chemist.  Together we form Mecha Washu   The most powerful, evil and random mecha!  (Sorry I am up at 3am and cannot sleep so I'm a little strange atm)  The first half is serious though.

Oh and ty ^_^

Someone bought the one that had 2 controllers, a multitap, and something else for 50 dollars.  That's really the one I had my heart set on.  But this one looks to be in better condition.  I'll just have to get a 2nd controller at some point in Jan.

Computer techs unite!

Er, actually, I'm leaving the tech support field. I'm getting dual degree with library science and usability engineering.

I've got a PCE Core that I traded from someone who originally got it and a few games from D-Lite supposedly. Too bad one of the games was The Kung Fu. Ugh!

Congratulations on picking up an Engine!  That's not a sweet deal, but neither is it a horrible deal, considering it's clean and includes some games and shipping.  If you really like Yuna, you might want to keep an eye out for the reissued version of the first game, which includes a second disc of HuVideo fmv.  Of course, a cd add-on might be a good idea too.

That's exactly how I feel about it.  Not a good deal, not bad.  I am a huge Yuna fan though, I was very unhappy when Final Fantasy made a Yuna character because it now means people actually want that name on the internet.  I am pretty sure Yuna is my favorite Anime/Video game character and series.  Luckally the guy had 3-4 copies of Yuna 1 and 2 so I don't think he was too worried about parting with them.  Baroque is a game I have wanted since I saw screenshots from it.  It just looks so strange I have to play it.

As far as being able to play PC-E CD games, I intend to get a SVIDEO modded DUO eventually.  I wanted a core grafx/PC-Engine because they are small and have less things inside that can fail, so hopefully it will last a long time.

Ohhh, you should get a SUPER CDROM2 addon. It makes for a cool looking setup, CoreGrafx+Super CDROM2 unit combo. Also, like the Duo you don't need a SCD 3.0 card as it's built into the addon unit.

The only super CDROM2's I see for sale cost basically the same as a DUO or DUO-R.  But if I saw one cheap I might consider it now that I know it has the system card built in.  One other thing I like about the DUO is that you don't need a bunch of system cards.

I really like the white PC-Engine docking bay though with the white CDROM, that thing looks awesome.

If pure sex means something swallowing something else then yes.

So, I guess.... yes.

And a nice boxed Core II easily gets $60.  The shipping sucks, but hey that's not bad considering the Yuna games with it.

Gratz on the Core unit.  Looks to be in great shape too. But yeah, you're definitely going to have to get a SuperCD add on. Just wait and a good deal will show up. You obviously know how that is.  :)

I think I'm gonna put up a SCD-ROM for sale sometime soon.  No box/manual, and has some scuffs, but works fine.  And if you can do without a video cable (the same one for CoreGrafx works), maybe we can work out a deal.  PM me if interested.

Congratulations on the PCE! Beware though, you might find your PC-FX being used less each day  .

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).
