Taking Offers: Sega TerraDrive
« on: December 26, 2007, 05:37:21 AM »
Yep, you read right. I have a Dual Floppy Disk TerraDrive that I am willing to part with. I picked it up this summer, and have not given it the attention that it deserves, so I am going to let it go. This was the PC/Mega Drive system released by IBM/Sega. It works great, and has Sonic 1-3 boxed with it. Taking offers before i shoot it up on ebay, Ill be taking pictures tonite to post it up.

They're for the other half of the TeraDrive - it's part MegaDrive and part 286 (the part that turned it into a commercial failure).  The computing world was embracing 486s by the time this beast was sold, so it's no surprise that they were as desirable as herpes.  The good news (for D.W.J.) is that they sold so poorly that they are pretty scarce and fetch a princely sum among collectors.

As rad as that is, it's next to useless, so I won't be buying one.

OK, wait, was this the one that could interface with the Genesis, or is this the other one?  :-k

The TeraDrive can have both sides operational at one time with the two halves linked through a limited interface.  Is that what you meant, or did you mean some sort of external link?

I am surprised it sold so fast! Selling internationally was definately the way to go. I found out it sold because of the post from this thread before I saw the rest of my email this morning!

Thanks for looking everyone... now, where am I going to get that TG16 CD Addon!?
