How can it be 10x better and have vocals? Vocals suck.

Because it talks about Gutterdamerung and stuff. Just buy it. Well, you're under 20 so you've probably never purchased music in your life. Go pirate it then, whatever is you do.

Yeah, I'm usually against vocals, especially in any kind of rock.  But, I've been into Dream Theater for awhile, & am now getting into Stride, Dragon Force, & Symphony X.

As for music that inspired LoT, I always figured it was stuff like Vinnie Moore & Yngwei Malmsteen & maybe Joe Satriani that inspired them.  If you listen to any of their stuff, you'll see what I mean.  I even made a special version of Sylphia, where I took out the techno, & added in all Vinnie Moore, which seems so much more fitting.  I think Bonknuts still has it uploaded somewhere, if not, I can reupload it on File Factory.  It makes the game so much more interesting.  And I didn't take just random tracks for each level, boss, etc.  I took my time, & found which songs sounded good with each area.

The music I listen to, is usually in my truck, & on a mp3 cd, since I usually just rip all my stuff so I can have a cd in there for weeks.  Right now, I'm making my way thru all the Castleroids, from Symphony of the Night thru Portrait of Ruin.  I'll probably next go thru the 2 PS2 Castlevania ost's, those 2 ost's barely fit on 1 mp3 cd!

as for me, i clearly separate game OST/tunez and "real" music. while game musig is very fun as well gives me a lots of nostalgic feels while listen at, real music/bands like pink floyd, david gilmour, billy cobham, pat metheney, volker kriegel, (old) mike oldfiled etc.. gives me a total different feeling about. it goes deep, with a lot of emotions in good as well as bad days, it's could be melancholic as well. it's kind of real live, all the feelings are real!! and i'm also against a lot of vocals in songs, that why i choosed those bands listened above. but some of them singing sometimes, but when they do, then it's really necessary that they do.

I don't, the best game music is as good as the best non-game music (game OST music is "real" otherwise we wouldn't hear it).

i'm not talking about the physicals of music ;)

the problem is, that you rarely can't find any music like pink floyd or jazz (general) in any video games. they're either contain typical game tunez (chip) or instrumental which goes in the direction of rock/heavy, techno or ocherstral but it never covers all genre of music.

as i said, i love both since i love good music generally, but in a different way.

I dunno man, to me music is music, no matter where it comes from. As long as it's not country-western, I'll listen to it.

For example, I went from The Stranglers - "Golden Brown" to Gradius II - "Burning Heat" to Kilo - "Lean Like A Cholo" to Mr. Bungle - "Travolta" to Feist - "Gatekeeper (One Room One Hour Mix)" to Unreal Tournament - "Organic" to Prodigy - "Breathe" to Genesis - "Land Of Confusion" to Extreme - "Rest In Peace" to Art Blakey and The Jazz Messengers - "Moanin'" to Martin Rosok - "Grieg Sonata in e-minor, 1 - Allegro moderato" to Sonic The Hedgehog 2 - "Oil Ocean Zone".

I didn't think, "Oh wow, this music was WAAAY better than THAT kind!". No, it's just music.

MR.BUNGLE IS f*ckING PWNAGE! Anybody who doesn't like them should be SHOT! Faith No More is also cool, but Mr. Bungle RULES.

And for you naysayers, who maybe think that it's not cool:
< Perhaps the MOST KICKASS MARIO THEME COVER EVER. Love the drums (Mike Patton is a man of many talents)!

After you're done watching that:
< The edited version of "Travolta" the original is much better
< Air Conditioned Nightmare

I'm big fan of pop instrumentals. Walk Don't Run (Part II) by The Ventures, Stratofortress by Stratovarius, The Brazilian by Genesis, Avalanche by New Order, etc. I absolutely prefer the instrumental version of the Ghost Dog soundtrack to the shitty American retail release which is only availible with other Wu Tang losers rapping on it, and even though I love Deltron 3030 as a whole...I think the instrumental version might actually be better.

Additionally I'm a huge fan of electronic dance music, DJ battles, etc.

However, its pretty f*cking weird to say that you're "against vocals".
