Anyone have experience with billmarioman on ebay?
« on: January 15, 2008, 02:04:55 PM »
I know he threw up a loopy auction for ten grand earlier and has done some chickenshit sniping, but I'm wondering if he's a reliable seller. He's got an item I want at a price that's decent as a buy-it-now...just wondering if anyone here knows if he's worth buying from. His score is pretty impressive, and he has 100% feedback, so I'm guessing he's probably going to be okay...

I bought from him recently. I was too embarrassed to admit it when he threw up that absolutely ridiculous Turbo auction. He's a good seller.

I've had both good and bad experiences with him. One of the games he sold me had one of those metallic silver rental store stickers on the manual. The picture in the auction had that corner of the manual covered, I felt a little ripped off. I also bought a "new sealed" game from him. When it came in the mail, it was neither new nor sealed. He is a bit of a crook in my book.

I bought from him.  I don't remember what game or games I bought- but my feedback stated that I paid for the item on a Tuesday and received it that Thursday.  The only non-working pc-engine game I've ever bought off of EBay was a loose Gradius that wouldn't play past the first level- but I don't believe it was from him.

I have had quite a bit experience from him I actually have bought a ton from him over the past year and half. I think I can speak for everyone when I say that 10 grand auction he threw up there about a month or two ago is a rip off. So what if it includes a sealed magical chase, half that shit you can pick up for less than $20 if you do a little searching. Only two things I bought that I regret buying from him was a Dungeon Explorer II missing back insert (but it was stated in the auction as missing) and a complete boxed copy of Neutopia II. The box was a little warped which he never said anything about. Regretably i paid $80 for each of these items, but in my defense at the time of purchase it was the absolutly only one on ebay for both games so i bought them. HE is definetly one of the fastest shippers i have ever dealt with. Some of his prices are good and some not, just depends on what it is. He is usually fair w/ best offers as well.

Hrm...I contacted him about shipping, and so far no response. It says that he will only ship to the continental USA (no idea why) but shipping shouldn't be any different to PR, so I wanted to know if he'd ship to here. I personally find it annoying and arrogant that certain sellers only cater to mainland USA.

Yeah, there's no reason not to ship to one of the almost states.

tell him that if he wants to get legal about it, he cant refuse to ship to you cause it is considered a state. Or at least I think so :-k

I don't believe so.  Puerto Ricans are US citizens, but are self-governed; the USPS, ebay, and Paypal all treat them similarly to states though, so there's no reason not to sell and ship something to 'em.
