I haven't seen it, but it's a stupid movie made by the guy who made that stupid Lost show, the actors are all dumb, and it's a stupid teenage horror movie. Modern movies SUCK.

Agreed.  Especially teenage movies.  I always want to beat up teenagers when I see them at the theater because they are always acting obnoxious.  I wish suicide was more popular amongst them.

I went to see the film Friday night (mostly to see the Star Trek trailer) and walked out of the movie 20mins later because I was going to puke.  The camera work was all Blair-Witch-shakycam and my wife and I couldn't take it.

The first Matt Damon/Bourne movie doesn't have epileptic cam.  That didn't start until loser director Paul Greengrass came along.

Saw The Orphanage recently- VERY good IMO.  The best "I see dead people" movie I've seen.

I've never minded the shaky cam thing too much. Some times it's a little over done. BSG can go over board with the cam work, but it doesn't make me ill. Though from the sounds of it Cloverfield takes the shake cam to a whole new level. I'm going to see it tonight (Star Trek teaser and all!!! woot!!  :dance:) and I'll give my opinion on the cam work.

The best shaky cam work in my opinion is by Fernando Meirelles- City of God and The Constant Gardener...

Honestly The Bourne Ultimatum was WAY more annoying with the shaky cam stuff than Cloverfield- like I said I barely even noticed the shaky camera after the first 10 minutes or so in Cloverfield.  What sucked about Bourne was that the actual movie was awesome, but the camera was so distracting that it kept pulling me out of it.  I'd just be getting way into things and then the camera man would hand his camera over to Michael J Fox and it would be ULTRA f*cking shaky to the point of being so distracting I couldn't focus on the movie.

Cloverfield is not even remotely that bad.
