I dabble with it on my Mac using a program called Pixen, but I wouldn't call myself skilled with pixel art.  If there's something that you need done, I would be happy to give it a go, but I'm probably not your best option.

The design looks fantastic and totally authentic. I look forward to seeing the remixed stuff.

Your cover looks quite nice.  I'm looking forward to your back cover and disc label.

If there are screenshots on the back artwork, consider one of them being the part where the dragon lord asks you if you would like to share the world with him, with the curser on the yes/agree option.

Not yet, we all have alot of projects we're working on at this time(especially Malducci, he's busy like a one armed paper hanger!).  I believe the NES version is fully playable on the Turbo CD, but, the remixed version still has a ways to go.  I know personally, I have songs to finish, & a few that I haven't started on yet.  I've mainly not been feeling well, so it's slowed down my progress, not to mention me trying to finish up the music for Mysterious Song.

None that I know of.  Tom was working on Castlevania & Mega Man, I think he found them easier to hack.

Funny I had one of my Dragon Warrior sprites opened in Tile Studio as I was clicking on this thread.

You can view all the remade sprites I've designed for this project here. I think I have the slight majority of them done, but I'll still need to go back and make different color varitaions of a lot of sprites that reappear throughout the game.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

I think we're also planning on making certain characters in the game, that start out as bosses that later become regular enemies, to be a bit beefier looking then they're regular enemy versions(which is why I was working on boss music) :)

Thanks for the comments! As you probably could already tell, I'm aiming for a graphical update that is extremely faithful to the NES original, but with 16-bit style coloring and shading. The SFC remake did a decent job, but sometimes the shading was a little wonky and some enemies looked kind of silly compared to the original.

Not sure about the tile graphics yet. I'm really not comfortable making tiles myself, so I'm not sure if I'll continue to make attempts at that. Fragmare (from MindRec) was working on them early on, but kind of stopped. If there are any tile artists out there, feel free to join!

Keranu, I didn't realize you did that many sprites  :) Don't worry, I'll revisit Dragon Warrior but at the moment I concentrating on my real game engine. Something that I could legally distribute ;)

No problem, I'll try to get as many sprites done by the time you start working on it again. Sometimes jumping between projects can be a good thing.
