A small list, but I have chosen Kato Chan & Ken Chan. After all, it is supposedly a very humorous game, and it was available in the US as the "lovable" J.J. and Jeff game for the TurboGrafx-16. The other titles, including The Kung Fu which came in second, are not as remotely interesting or even of high quality.

I am wondering, too, Guyjin, if you were doing something special with the results from these "Turbo/PC Engine Game of the Year" topics? A thought like this had occurred in my mind :P.

No, that's what I voted for the day I posted that I thought they were all pretty meh games.  I just neglected to say what I voted for.  Even in a turd sandwich, you might be able to find one good bite if you are really pressed to find it.

I do wish though that the game took up more of the screen.  It seems like it could have been a LOT better.

It's a 1:1 port of the arcade version. That's how the arcade is. It's up there with R-Type for arcade-correctness if you forget they changed the boss characters.

Even the music is 1:1.

I'm not blaming the port.  I did think it was close to the arcade version though, I didn't know it was 1:1 though.

It really is, except for the bosses. It might be the closest port in terms of arcade accuracy out of the system's entire game library.

That's just like I thought. I am anticipating for this ultimate showdown, and what it'll be like 8).

The PCE version actually takes up more of the screen than the arcade version.
