Duo-RX 6 Button Pad Accessory
« on: March 16, 2008, 07:47:07 PM »

I have been looking for the NEC's official 6-button RX pad BRAND NEW/BOXED - I used to own a brand new one about 4 years ago but I can't remember whether NEC ever made this as an offical boxed accessory or was it only ever available if you purchased the console?

I've googled but can't find any information that it was available as a standalone accessory. Any help would be much appreciated.

(ps please don't turn this thread into "get the NEC Avenue one - its better blah blah" :))

I'm pretty sure it was also sold separately, but I have no proof. Sorry. PC Engine Maniax says that its model number  PCE-TP1 and cost 2980yen.

Yeah it was sold seperately as far as I know. I think I own the seperate one.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

I'm also quite certain that they were sold seperately, though I can't provide proof.

P.S. - Get the Hori Fighting Commander - it's better, blah, blah, blah.

lol.

Yeah well judging by most peoples posts it seems to exist as an accessory albeit it's very rare! I definitely remember having the RX pad years ago (I've never owned the actual RX console) but don't remember if I had a box for it or not.

Seems to be as rare as the GT Power Pack!

Yeah, found the link that was mentioned above. Model #: PCE-TP1, with an original cost of approx. USD$30.

Found it! Looking at the box and I do now remember definitely having this brand new. Unfortunately I also remember selling it :(

Does anyone have a picture of the box for the original white PC Engine pad sold separately as an accessory??

Well I would consider paying $70 for a new one with box simply due to their rarity, so $50 would seem fair. Otherwise, "get the Avenue Pad, it's cheaper blah blah" ;)
