It Came From The Desert

I just picked this title up from Turbo Zone, while it's fun, I can't seem to save my game. I'm using a Duo (if that helps). Anyone know how to save your game? or how to place bombs in the mine shafts / tunnels?
always looking to buy mint turbo games. hit me up if you've got some!

This game is indeed a wonder.

Ive had it for many years and as far as I can tell you cannot save......it should let you save at the end/beggining of a new day but doesnt:(

I did actually make it to the end once but I didnt win.

Bombs in the mine shafts?

Do you mean when you are playing the side on parts??

Man they are so hard, I always get the controls messed up;(

I've beaten the game.... its hard because the controls are really bad especially when he jumps.... he goes in like the wrong direction doing a backfit for like 50 feet.  but somehow i managed to get it down.

You can save the game... If i remember correctly when it ask you where u want to go next, press select and "save game" will appear... go to it and ur all set.

I never used the bombs will in the tunnels because I think all you can do with them is place them on the ground in front of you... I think they can kill you and they slow you down and before you know it, an ant is eating you.  They just dont serve a great purpose so you have to be conservative/a good shot with ur pistol.  To use the bombs press button one and down at the same time, but i dont know if you want to

Its a fun game besides having some of the worst controls ever

If you're able to get the "Leaping Devastator" on the second day (Borax in the afternoon - choose Strength), the action scenes become MUCH easier because you can jump forward instead of that irritating backflip garbage.

For anyone who's made it to the Queen and can't beat her: she's not as tough as she looks. The trick is to face downward and let loose a grenade, then quickly aim upward and blast away at her mouth when her head moves up from the grenade blast. She'll be toast in no time as long as you watch out for the annoying worms that crawl around.

It's actually quite entertaining after you play it for awhile. I was also surprised to find out this game is actually not so much for kids. The scenes where you shoot the killer ants of people's bodies is so awesome and gorey. That along with the creepy Queen Ant face would've made me crap my pants as a kid.

Last time I played this game, I was getting towards the end and then the game went right to the System Card 3.0 boot up screen. I pressed RUN and then it started showing the ending credits for the game. Weird, I'll have to play it again sometime so I can fight the last boss and stuff.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

that stinks... the game's credits are part of the intro (after the title screen)... so your game was reset.  I have accidentally reset games by pushing run + select when i was frustrated... perhaps that's what you did?

I know the credits show when you start the game, but when my game rested out of no where, the credits popped up first after I pressed RUN and they didn't look like the credits for the opening. It was really strange and I know I didn't accidently reset it by pressing RUN+Select, or else I would've punched myself in the jaw ;) .
