Well, I won't duplicate my big post over in the TG forum here, but I picked up 80 or so games including some really good stuff like Vasteel, DE II, Super Star Soldier etc for about $600. All told, after this deal, I'm only missing about twenty Hucards for the US set, and most of that is chud. I went from nothing to a 3/4 complete US set. Not bad at all!

The best deal of the bunch was DEII for $60, I think.

My rule of thumb is this though. Regardless of what the actual value is, if you really get a lot of enjoyment from something you buy, it doesn't really matter. $600 is a lot of money (thanks, tax return!), but I have an entire library of games I will be playing for years, and which I could turn around and sell for much more than twice what I paid. I had always wanted to get a TG again, and now I have everything I sold plus piles more. I don't regret the purchase at all.

Hell, it costs a heck of a lot less than the rims my friend bought for his truck!

So true!  8) I've spent more than that on video games anyways, haha.

Agreed.  Most people's jaws dropped when I told them I paid $130 for Dracula X a few years back (a decent, but not great price then) and I was sweating whether or not any game was worth that.  Well, it was, it is in my top 3 favorite games ever.  It doesn't hurt that I would eventually trade it for a PSP with goodies (right before Konami announced Dracula X for the PSP!)

On the other hand, way back in the early days of DVD I bought a first generation PC DVD drive for $300 just because it came with Wing Commander 4 on DVD.  I had problems with the hardware, and I didn't actually play the DVD version of the game until 2 years ago when someone made some funky software to make it work with Windows XP.  Pwned.
