Good source for cases
« on: May 10, 2008, 03:35:07 AM »
Hey, I've been looking for some Hucard cases to apply Sparky's stickers too.

Just getting cheap games would seem to be ideal, but the closest place to me that sells TG-16 games charges $9 for Keith Courage (and alot of those don't have the little plastic bar, they have some adhesive in the middle instead).  Which would hit me for $63 for seven cases, even if I gave them the manuals/games back for trade they'd only give me .25 per for whatever reason.  The cost of something like Keith on Ebay /w shipping isn't alot better...

Suggestions?

I am in the same predicament, got the stickers but don't have cases for Chase HQ or any of the later releases.

They occasionally come up for sale on ebay in 3, 5 or 10-packs for about $1.00-2.00 each. Or you can just buy a crappy game like Vigilante or whatever with a case, and just use the game as a coaster.

Keep looking, though...you'll find some!

Yeah, there aren't any reliable sources for cases these days.  Until you find more, you can take a bunch of CD cases and make room for your hucards by knocking out the teeth in the center of the black trays.

Hehehe...I kinda thought that remark would draw some ire. Sorry to trash a game that's so beloved by so many...I just think it's nothing special, even if a lot of the bosses appear to be saying "Aw, come on!" over and over again.

I just don't want to wait I guess.  Even the crap games are a bit expensive to buy alot of copies of.  They're all in jewel cases as temps right now, but I don't want to use the nice stickers until I have real ones.

Indeed it is. I think it’s a pretty kick ass game.

I need to get some cases for a few games as well.  Oh and I also need a copy of SideArms because I got Vigilante with the case of that game. Better than nothing.

Is kind of ga'hetto, but I use cassette tape cases for my loose hucards....

any record store I can think of sells tapes for 50 cents.  It's rewarding to buy Yanni, throw all that garbage out and put a TG game in it, and doodle some custom art work for the cover!

I think you  are doing a service to mankind by trashing Yanni tapes and making hucard cases, but for me I would have to work with CD cases to match.
