I just bought a 64 Mb flash card by Neo for my TG16, and it arrived yesterday.  $80 shipped from someone on AtariAge.  I freaking love this thing.  I haven't stopped playing PCE games since I got it.

BMW!  You better give that MC a good home!  :)

Some gaming goodies came in today!  One was a purchase based on a recommendation from someone here, and the other was some gaming goodies from Japan (well JapanTokei, and was actually shipped from China...)

$1800 for Magical Chase?!  Bah!  I just want to play it!  This loosey copy was MUCH cheaper!  And now I actually have some schmups for the PC engine!

It has found its way into a nice sparky labeled case, and when its not in there its settled nicely into the slot on the PC engine :P

On a US TG16 or TurboDuo, you can play any US or Japanese TG16/PCE ROM.  If you have a Japanese system, you would, I believe, have to patch US game ROMs to work, since it has that region-check deal built in.  You just plug the card into that USB slimloader and load ROMs onto it.  This one is 64 Mb (megabit, not megabyte), but they now make a 128 Mb version.  This one holds about 10 games, depending on their size, which is enough for me considering the ease with which you can add and remove games.  I downloaded a cooler looking menu for it, but haven't put it on the card yet.  I can post a new pic once I do, if anyone is actually interested.

Here's a link to the site for the current product:

Wow! That thing is pretty cool! I just worry that if I would buy something like that it would kill my love of importing the actual games?

On the contrary, I think that things like this just helps you sort out which games you actually want to buy.  It's not like I am going to get rid of any of my TG16 games now that I have this.  I didn't (and still don't) have a way to play PCE games at the moment, but I would still like to grab a cheap-o PC Engine down the line so that I can play the real games.  Certainly though, for some people flash carts will replace actual games.  But I am both a gamer and a collector, so I still want to have the real thing.

i think its pretty cool and I agree and feel there is no way it would steer me away from getting the original games.  How lame would a person be if all they had was roms?  get a wii or something.  this imo is a great thing to dump a coulpe games on try em out then buy or just have fun

$9.95 at K-Mart.  It is fun to see a different take on Dracula X by less competent artists.

You know, I have never even seen a copy of Dracula X for the PSP in the wild. Finding it at a K-Mart just makes it even weirder. :-k Let us know what you think of the game, Joe. I don't have a PSP but Dracula X may persuade me to get one.
