Monkey Island = Awesomeness :-)

Yeah, one of the best series ever! LucasArts games were always my favorites among PC gaming, but the first two MI are the best of the whole bunch.

If you are looking for a CD drive Keith Courage had a few refurbs up for grabs.

I was about to post the same thing.  I recently picked one up from Keith to complete my briefcase unit and I'm very happy with it.

I always wanted the CD versions of the first two Monkey Island games in a standalone box, got this UK version for cheap in eBay.

Man I remember playing the DOS versions of these when I was 11 or 12. MI2 is such a great game.

I downloaded and beat Monkey Island 1 for the iOS on my last trans-atlantic flight - lots of memories with that one.

works great for me, the acrylic is pretty sturdy, and the board lets it work on PC PS2 PS3 360 and Dreamcast

It powered on when I got it but it died after swallowing Twinbee disk 1, which is still stuck in there btw 
Gotta try and see if I at least can get the power issue fixed up - totally not the right person to do this but we'll see...

I'm in the process in tearing it down (just removed the PSU) but I thought I'd take a look at the motherboard as well. If additional RAM has been installed, where would one find it in these machines? It's not in the expansion slots in the top left tower, a SCSI card sits there instead tho'.

The Ace only has 1mb on the mobo.  In the mobo tower side is the port for a 1mb expansion board.  It's a weird looking thing that plugs in, hard to miss.  Note the system must have 2mbs in the mobo before an i/o slot expansion board can be used.  Meaning you must have the weird 1mb upgrade board inside on these.  It uses the same upgrade as the Pro models, but they have a different bracket to lock it in place though.

Also be aware you can't just put ram inside.  You will need a system disk and a keyboard (or mouse if you use the weirdo 1.0 sys disks) in order go above 1mb as well.

The first thing I ever did when I bought my first android smartphone was downloading the SCUMMVM emulator to play the original MI on it. It seemed so right doing it with the touchscreen I couldn't resist

Just received my PAL copy of Zero Wing for the Sega MD today. The game is better than I expected, I look forward to buying it for my Duo!

Duo version has amazing music, two extra stages(one I believe is merely just the final boss on his own stage) no loss of parallax, improved graphics and (boring) cinemas. I wish I had a real copy.

Only thing you'd be missing is the incredible All your Base intro from the Genny port.
