I still think the music may have some entertainment value? PSP tunes...anything to get excited about? Or was the soundtrack more ambient?

Sadly, it's nothing special and there's just a few songs - town, dungeon, boss fight, and....

...Aaaaaaand they drop the ball by not focusing more on what made the original games so much more enjoyable. The wonderful tunes.

While picking up a gift card for my nephew at a local used game shop, I snagged copies of Death Jr. and Wipeout Pure for me.

Nope, but it looked cute and was cheap.

Heh, I will never be a SuperDeadite with almost every variant of every game, but I'm close to getting all the distinct games.  Still missing about four of them, I'll catch up to you Clash!   :)

Xele is on a role picking stuff up.  You just added an awesome game to the collection, hope you give it the time it deserves!

You getting these games from Yahoo Japan?  It took me a long time to find my stuff, you guys all seem to have a better source than I did!

Heh, I did a lot of ebay shopping when I first got into LaserActive stuff several years ago, but there is a lot more competition today.  After that I went for overseas stuff since almost all the games are multi-region.  Most of my JP games are from Yahoo Japan or Surugaya, there are a couple other retailers I've found that occasionally get LA stuff in stock so I check back periodically on them as well.

Really though, I've learned that a LaserActive game not having the obi is my best bet for finding a deal, prices tend to go a lot lower than normal without them.

Estaban - if my brain is not fried and my memory is serving correctly, I think i tried the D.E. on DS as well, and it's pure shait...

Dungeon Explorer on the PSP is Dungeon Explorer in name only.  It's a straightforward and rather bland hack 'n' slash dungeon crawler that wouldn't be all that bad if it didn't overstay its welcome (it's kinda fun in the beginning); but it's loooooooong and not in a good way with lots of differing content to enjoy.  I gave up on it at about 90 hours, after perusing the internet and finding I was a bit less than halfway through.  Yeah, 200+ hours of grinding.....  ](*,)

There's some variety with occasional special missions and eventual big boss fights (each dungeon has a mini-boss, but they're nothing special), but you mostly play the same generic missions over and over and over again just to gain enough experience, and you won't stand a chance if you move on to the higher dungeons too soon.  Pro tip: change classes as soon as possible to unlock the best classes (check teh interwebz).  Better pro tip: play something else.

Damn. Thanks for the scoop. I have to investigate the DS version that someone mentioned, too.

Yes, I'm going to look at YouTube videos, but that can't substitute for your 2ยข

I loved Spy vs Spy on all platforms growing up.  funny and enjoyable 2 player game that is still unique to this day... closely thing I come across thus far are on our fav PCE -> the Bonanza Brothers :)  but that is working together... S.v.S you're messing each other up... different type of fun.  great memories

No one stellar item here, but I got a lot of inexpensive good stuff today.

PS - Sell me a Demon's Judgement obi if you have it.  It is the glaring hole in my LA collection!
