The Outrun game is pretty fun.  Seems to be a bit on the sought after side as well...

Fortunately I don't really need it from what I can tell. Figured it was a cool thing to have though and I acquired it via teh trades along with a controller and a mouse (which are both in perfect working order).

Really digging the system so far and the look and feel of the games I've played. Going to look for some more translated games as well as easy to play titles.

Nice Dicer.

I just got some gud shit in myself. Including Castlevania Chronicles (the sharp remake of the first game ported to PS1) which is one of the few in the series I have never played.

Pro-Tip: Hold L1, R1, Start and Select when choosing a game mode to enable sound select mode. You can choose between FM synth and two MIDI options. They are all worth a listen but I feel the FM synth is the most "Castlevania Sounding" of the three. Be sure to hold those buttons down until the sound select screen loads.

Awesome thanks.

Right now I'm working on SF III and replaying Banjo Kazooie but I think CC will be the next game I play.

Is the FM Synth the exact same as the vanilla X68k?

The FM/MIDI music isn't emulated, it's recorded off the real thing.  It does suffer a bit from compression, but most people won't know the difference.  Now the game itself though is a recreation, not a proper port of the original code.  Meaning some of the hitboxes are off from the original, making it harder then it was meant to be.  The lowered resolution doesn't help either (PS1 is 15khz, real deal runs in 31khz).  If you are used to the real deal, this port is meh, but if you aren't it's a good effort.  And when it was new it retailed for only $9.99 so hard to complain...

Original version had a few extra features like the hidden 4th Music Option (General MIDI), but they are rather minor.  There is even a fan patch that adds stereoscopic 3D (LCD shutters like MasterSystem/Famicom) support to the game, which is damn cool looking if you have the required setup to run it.

Ya not game related but picked these up at comicon on Friday.
Been a long while since I bought action figures, and retro ones I don't have. About $10 each and check out the rope on Indy! :O

I haven't picked up anything gaming related in awhile, but came across this for about $8 and couldn't say no.

I haven't played this in ages. I sold my U.S. copy probably 2 decades ago. It's still pretty fun! I was surprised that there's even a widescreen mode in the Options menu, though the HUD and cut-scenes are stretched.

I guess I've been on a Ghost in the Shell kick lately because I have the Laserdisc arriving shortly as well. Maybe it's because the movie is coming out soon. I know some of you are probably groaning, but I can't wait to see how it turns out. They posted the first 5 minutes today and it's straight out of the anime:

Stopped by some thrifts today.

$1 each God of War II (had a memory card in the case even), Onimusha Warlords, Onimusha 2, Onimusha 3.

Nothing amazing there, but I haven't played the Onimusha games in ages so what the hell. Mainly grabbed God of War II for the memory card.

Some huge ass retarded Tom Clancy Rainbow Six CE thing (6 games in it and a huge guide) for $10. One of my brothers is big on Clancy, so this will be a nice gift. Didn't bother to look at value online, but I figure this f*cker can't even ship for $10.

Some wireless headphones I will probably gift for a dollar.
