Shinobi sucks!

Dungeon Explorer actually amazes me with how much they crammed into a 3 meg cart.  The music (to me) is especially nice in Dungeon Explorer.  It sounded better than a lot of the other early games.  Like it used a different kind of synth or something.  I just remember really enjoying the music in that game.  I still do.

Yeah, the music in DE is among the best of the entire PCE/TG library.

The pc-engine shinobi is pretty challenging though freek.  I wouldn't be complaining about the missing levels unless you could actually beat it  - otherwise there's no sense in complaining about the game being imcomplete- is there?  The close-up attack being missing though is pretty silly- we're talking about what? 1-3 frames of animation (for two different close up attacks) they skimped out on?  I also miss the bonus stages- if I remember correctly (haven't played my hucard in a minute) those are missing as well...
