Interesting.  I've never heard of it, though, when I first read the title of your thread, I thought it said Download.  I was thinking.....why a remake of Download...better graphics & music?   Anyhoo, so, what I gather, is that this will be like a port of the original game, rather then a graphical upgraded version?

Neato!  I don't remember this game, but the youtube link makes it look pretty entertaining.  Keep up the excellent work master Covell; I look forward to playing this bad boy, perhaps as an unlockable bonus on Tongueman's Logic.

I had downland!  I'm guessing you're not going to make the controls analogue though?  (*shudders* remembering the black analogue coco joysticks.)

I read Download as well  

After seeing Downland on Youtube though, I have realized that if that thing in the bottom right is a timer, afterwhich it empties, you die.  It would be nice if your version had an easy setting where the timer just stays locked at 1 or something.

I can't wait to see version 9 screenshots once you get all the new Parallax background effects working.
