Selling action figures again.... but I've had lots of shenanigans being pulled!!

Hey guys, I'm gonna have some ebay horror stories of my own, possibly to eclipse some of Mike and Quoth's stories!

As usual, I started all my auctions at a penny. Not having any idea there would be any major demand for this lot, I was expecting $20 at the most. I've received a series of harassing emails from one user, friendly ones from some others. It seems some of these guys know each other, which makes it even more interesting. As it winds down here I'll post more info about it.

Crazy considering these figures sucked ass. I cant believe people get their panties in a bunch over low quality crap. At least your getting 5000 times the amount you spent on them as a kid. We used to buy them and strip them of their weapons and orings for Joe figure repair when I was young. K-Mart always had these bastards dirt cheap in 1 and 2 packs.

I'm surprised as hell! I kept a lot of their gear. My dad always wanted me to take care of my stuff, and he helped me get o-rings at the orchard supply hardware we used to have by the house. I was thinking to myself the other day I wish I had gotten more Joe stuff instead of these, but seeing how this auction has blown off the roof i've reconsidered that...  :-"

I just received positive feedback for this item, so everything has worked out way more smoothly than I was expecting. I did get some harrassing messages from one user, which I'll share here, but I also exchanged emails with someone who has an archive for these figures. He asked me for pictures before I sent them away, so that was pretty fun. Ultimately nothing to compare with some of the drama Mike and quoth have been through.

During the auction, with a few days to go, the guy who eventually won the auction entered a $4000 bid, which he retracted as 'entered wrong amount' which seemed to me to be shenanigans, allowing him to see what others were bidding. Given the harrassing messages I was getting I would have blocked him also if I had received the slightest complaint from any other bidders.

Here are the harrassing messages, from user i-am-john

Hi,I happen to own several of these figures and know for a fact that 2 of them were reassembled(first row 4th figure and second row 3rd figure,both have arms that are from other figures(both arms from the first figure and 1 from the second.You might want to add this to your info.

I'm not wasting my time sending you pictures about what I know to be true(first row 4th figure and the 5th are gas mask figures both are supposed to have long sleeve arms(1 white and the other black)2nd row the 3rd figure is supposed to have 2 blue human arms(not 1 human and 1 robot)take a look at the robot figure in the 3rd row at both his arms and compare to the second row figure.There ia a reason another ebayer asked you if any of the figures were reassembled because a couple are.If I bid on this lot and win I would leave you negative feedback because of those 2 figures being stated as "original"

I purposely wanted to make sure I couldn't be allowed to bid on your auction.Believe had I paid 100 plus dollars for these crappy condition figures (broken hand galore in this lot you better believe once I had received them I would have complained filed a paypal complaint over the smallest thing (white gas mask figure being reaasembled)then it would be a major hassle esp when most of the figures are garbage( I use to shoot these figures(the human ones)with my pellet gun along with the lame gi joes like DUKE,FLINT,ROADBLOCK)So by annoying you to the point where you block me it saves you and me time and aggravation !! Some moron is going to pay you a hundred plus dollars for a bunch of busted up knock offs generic figures except for 6 or so,WHAT RETARDS !! I'm kind of thinking that it was actually a secondary account of someone who was really interested in the lot doing some kind of espionage, given that it went so high.

Then again, maybe he was being straightforward. I think it was some kind of shenanigans. The person who sent me the link to the archive site was the person who suggested I block i-am-john so I took his advice.
