Good point, though comparing murder to getting a sex change is pretty drastic. Murdering someone clearly has direct negative impact on society, but getting a sex change, well.. you can start drawing links how it can do this and that, but the act of getting sex change in itself doesn't harm anyone.
Still, I wouldn't go so far as to hit up a transsexual person myself. They can do whatever they want since it doesn't impact me directly, but in turn, they're delusional if they don't think that a sizable chunk of the (newly) opposite gender are going to rule them out as potential partners. (And that's not just because of making baby issues.)
I was just trying to give different examples & extremes, but, yeah, if they want to do it, that's up to them, it's their life. God didn't make us robots, he gave us free will, & it's up to us to choose how we will live it.
And another example of myself. I hate reading. I really struggle with it, no matter what book it is. But, as a Jehovah's Witness, I want to learn about the Bible, so I keep reading the Bible, even when it gets to the parts with all the names/lineage. That's the way I've always been, I hated reading as a kid. It's taken most of my life to really force myself to do some serious reading, & it's still a struggle, & probably always will be, but, I don't give up. Reading in general is important, that's one of the most important ways we all learn is by reading. But, just because I hate reading, should I just give up & say screw it, I'm not going to read? There's something that I don't think would effect anyone but me. And I'm not trying to tell others what to do, this is just how I personally feel.
