I've never cared much for shrinkwrapped games. Any game I acquire is opened, haha.

That Dynastic Hero I jsut picked up was still shrinkwrapped. it didn't appear to be a home-shrink job, and considering the state of the contents (Not a blemish on the disc, manual, or case) it may have been the original shrink. Still, I can't be sure.

Doesn't matter much though, as it felt GOOD to open that game, and then test it on the Turbo Duo, ahha. I even took a few pics of myself ripping off the shrinkwrap.

pcenginefx, if you need some help with the shrinkwrap on any of those titles, let me know! It's probably warping the Magical Chase box! GOTTA STOP THE WARPING!!! RELEASE IT FROM THE PLASTIC CAGE!

Also, what price did you pay for that Magical Chase?

And, sealed Mgical Chase isn't too unheard of. Saw one on ebay about a year ago. And about 2 years ago someone told me they had some Magical Chase games (Not bullshti), but they were $500.00 a piece. That was 2005, not sure if there are anymore of those around or if he found buyers for them all.

On the other hand, sealed Bonk 3 Hucard.... I haven't seen or heard of any of those lately.

Yes, the warping!  Funny that you mentioned that.  The front of the Magical Chase box is slightly warping inward (not too bad) but the back is like a wave.  I wonder if removing the shrinkwrap will help it?.........hmmm.

As far as the price...  well, believe it or not all of the games were gifts.   :-"

The Raiden box is still in perfect shape inside its plastic cage....but the box is HEAVY!  Must be the 6-megabit HuCard :P

pcenginefx,

I had a feeling they may be gifts. Pretty cool gifts, I sure wouldn't mind Magical Chase as a gift, hah.

Yeah, that Raiden box has the plastic case. Adds extra "oompf" to the package.

Yeah, the warping.... Something with the TTI Hu-Cards. I'm not sure if the boxes warp over the years (Ones with shrinkwrap on them, open at the top or totally sealed) is due to the shrinkwrap, the lack of a case (plastic tray), or a combination of the two. The shrinkwrap on a TTI game and an earlier game is a different quality.

Pretty much all of my TTI boxes I have I've ended up taking all the shrinkwrap off. Most games I open them at the top with a finger nail or blade, and leave most of the shrinkwrap intact. However, the TTI wrap is a bit more "fragile", less stretchy, and if it is slowly crumpling a box, I figure I might as well remove it.

I may post a pic or 2 here soon. I snapped one yesterday, sometime soon I will resize it...

The Duo-R is a recent addition. My Turbo Duo has never gave me any issues, however I'd rather have a cheaper (in price) piece of hardware for the CD games, and give my Turbo Duo more vacation. The Duo-R is pretty nice, feels solid, seems superior to the regular Turbo Duo/PC Engine Duo.

I try to juggle most of these items on this one shelf. I'd have only one NEC system wired up if the Duo-R was modded, so far I've found someone willing to install a region switch, however they won't do the S-Video. I'd rather have both mods done at once, when that happens the TG will be placed in a rental case for transport, which happens from time to time. For now, the 2 stack pretty well since the TG-16 has a Turbo Booster attached.

The other items in the pic:

- The Genesis fits in there nicely. It's a good fit. I may attempt to squeeze a JVC X'Eye in there... I have a Sega CD for the Genesis, however I don't use the Sega CD often, so it sits in storage. Plus it uses two power supplies (gen and CD), X'Eye and such only use 1. Space is an issue since I want to keep this type of stuff confined to a single shelf.

- The other item in the back is the "Gameboy Cube", since those are the only games it is there for.

I watch that video of yours last week.

Not a bad collection either doesn't matter if it small any ways.

To me a collection is about qaulity not quantity.

If i've said that befor, sorry it's just how i feel about it when collecting games to play.

After seeing those tokkofuku pics, I gotta try it out.   Being a motorcyclist and all, I always got a kick out the bosozoku culture in Japan (Not that I condone it - I just find it humorous).  Plus, I love beat 'em ups!

I agree, although I do find myself taking chances on some games as they are so cheap. It is possible to amass a decent sized collection (with a few stinkers) for little money.

I can probably say that I have one of the only unopened copies left on the planet...
As far as the price...  well, believe it or not all of the games were gifts.   :-"

Very interesting...I'm going out on a limb here, but I suspect a certain online/mailorder shop will be sporting a new web site within the next few weeks!

I tend to stick with the MVS versions, so never paid much attention. Only bought it to test my Arcade Card.

It's a good one for sure.  Next to Sapphire, it's probably the best looking ACD game.  (Though I haven't tried Kabuki Itouryodan yet.)
