I couldn't resist. Saw it there for $100 BIN on eBay.

This will save me the time and trouble of modding my system or screwing around with converters... Now what to do with that Arcade Card I just bought?  I guess I'll get eventually get the CD for the PC engine I have on the way to me...

So, what Super CD game should I get first?!  :P

Well, probably Gate of Thunder (the US version is on the 4-in-1 CD) or Lords of Thunder. Those are pretty good "knock your socks off" titles. Once you have some money to burn Dracula X and Kaze Kiri are pretty cool.

Dragon Slayer is a great SCD RPG. One of my personal favs.

Is the Arcade Card you have the Pro or Duo version? Remember you need the Pro version for the standard CD add-on.

Adding PCE console specific layer on top of that, makes for an interesting challenge (no, not a reference to Ys II).

Reasonably priced good games-

Lords of Thunder
Forgotten Worlds
Neo Nectaris
Ys IV
Dungeon Explorer II PCE

Gate of Thunder 4-in-1 costs more, but is still a must-play game. Dragon Slayer in english can also be pricey but is worth it if you're into RPGs.

Damn, now that was a good deal. Everybody's made some great suggestions, but I'll throw in Macross 2036. That was my first Super CD.

In addition to the other fine suggestions, I'll add Xak III, Xanadu I, and Xanadu II.  Xak III has a translation patch available, and if you're not afraid of the language barrier and can use a faq/walkthrough, then the Xanadus are good Falcom fun and look beautiful.

Ok... just got Gate of Thunder from the same seller. Was asking $90... countered with 1/2 at $45 and he went for it since I got the system card.

Hoping these are all good deals.

Ys I & II !!!!

Surely this isn't too expensive, especially if you get the pack-in version...

:)

Good stuff.

Ys I & II is is a regular CD title no? I'm actually in the middle of Book II right now! I've had this game since I got the TG/CD in the early 90s.

If you're buying on ebay, be sure to do a completed items search for games you're shopping for to at least get a better idea.

$45 for Gate of Thunder is a high price. The seller didn't give you any deal. He 'gave you a break' but still charged top dollar due to his rediculous starting price.

Except that I got the US Super System Card for $100...

$45 was the lowest price I could find for a complete GoT (most were $80 and up). So $150 for the pair seems pretty average to me.

A US system card for $100 is vi aoverinflated Ebay prices...even on Ebay it's not a great deal, but average.   There have been 4 copies of Gates in the last 2 weeks that ended at $22-30 all with manuals...
