On Ninja Spirit arcade mode: 

I can get through PCE mode without using a continue but I haven't completed arcade mode yet. The one-hit kill makes for a BIG difficulty jump and I always get stuck around the second-to-last stage.

A few of the enemies were extremely aggravating. The swordsmen in stage 4 were a pain, as well as the area with the first appearance of the riflemen.

Clear #80- MotoRoader II (standard/normal circuit)



This one plays better than the first one- though it's definitely easier (not that the first one is hard- it isn't).

I know I said I was gonna hold off- and I fully intended to-
but I didn't count on one thing- my wedding favor-
I've been burning off myself (on custom printed blank CDRs) me and Sue's wedding favor which is a cover album we spent 9 months making (BTW shoot me your mailing addy again and I'll mail a copy out- also Mike Helgeson did the cover artwork which you might find interesting) - so it's got me sitting in front of my imac most weekday nights burning off discs (up to 110 for the wedding so far- looking to burn 140) and as it happens my old tv and my Turbo are now in the computer/studio room- so I've been getting some decent playtime in while burning these puppies.  Don't throw in the towel though man- if I ran through all these games in a little over a month then I'm sure you could do at least the same if not better when you guys get yourselves situated- and I hope all that shit's going smoothly.

This was the first time I played a full one player game- and it's much easier one player- a joke actually.

Clear # 82- Super Star Soldier



This was a tough battle- got to last boss with all nine guys- all respawns and a halfway powered shot-
Lost a couple of guys on the ship with the front blown off-
then the brains ate up all of my lives- was down to last ship with no shield and two brains were still on the screen-
slid into one of the brains and popped it- then pulled back and blasted the last one to bits.  Victorious. 

BTW- noticed that geise slid into the top ten clear board on pcedai with 79 clears- I'll be looking over my shoulder.
5 more clears and I'll be ahead of hkfan for the five spot.  :-"

I feel pretty damn foolish because the whole time I had the PCE 1943 Kai I had no idea how awesome it was.  I beat the arcade version with a friend on a Capcom collection but never played the PCE one deeper than a few levels.  Just had a friend over and we totaled it- and I was taken aback at how awesome the bonus original levels are- it plays like a true sequel with a graphical and gameplay update- and there's a sweet tunnel stage with runaway gun trains.  This jumped from being a so-so title to one of my favorite hus.

BTW I love how Dracula Boy appears on the fin screen- along with some other little booger who I can't place- probably from a Naxat game...

With the help of Allah, clear #17!! Lords of Thunder clear!!

This game is really awesome. There's often a lot going on at once. The music finally grew on me also. The final form of the boss is a bit of a joke though, once I found out an easy way to beat him without getting hit.



Also by God's Grace, Clear # 18!! Final Soldier clear!

This one was a bit of a letdown after Super Star Soldier. There are some fun enemies, and generally more dexterity seems to be required than in SSS, but it was over too fast. The only stage that was hard at all was stage 6.

I honestly can't believe that when I was younger I thought the final level in this was so tough-
Just threw it on and destroyed it (without ultimate weapon, invincibility, continues, codes, etc.)- felt like it only lasted ten minutes.

Damn it looks like I need to start playing again.  Nice clears guys.  I'll be on vacation starting this weekend so I should get a couple plays in.  Maybe I'll see if I can beat Rayxanber II & III again.  It's been a while.  Side Arms on Hu I have never beaten, so I'll try for that first.
